I have to tell you that your videos helped me get over my fear of flying. I had never been on a plane, but when I turned 50, I wanted to go to Hawaii. I watched a lot of flying videos beforehand. It helped me know what to expect and that there’s no need to be afraid. I flew from Atlanta to Honolulu (9 hours) for my very first trip. It was awesome! And I’m so happy I got past my fear!
@Tommytoolsqueezer2 жыл бұрын
The best way to deal with fear of flying is learning how planes actually work, you basically have an understanding how extremely safe flying is. Especially learning about turbulence.. and the fact it’s only slow air moving against fast air.. it’s as simple as that

Something to keep in mind about airlines in Australia - on most economy domestic flights with the full service carriers (Qantas and Virgin) you will generally get a meal and checked baggage included, even on the 1-2 hour flights between Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. However as a result the prices are higher than Europe or America. If you want to fly for cheap in Australia, go for a budget airline like Tiger (owned by Virgin) or Jetstar (owned by Qantas).
@MonstaAU4 жыл бұрын
And run the risk of the flight being cancelled without notice, or being delayed 2+ hours? No thanks, most of my hours are in VA and QF for this very reason.

Another great video as always @Wingin' It! Paul Lucas. I did a similar trip a couple of years ago but from Perth to Melbourne on Tiger airways. Their "terminal" at Melbourne is very strange - like a tiger cage, if you'd believe it. They're not bad though and very cheap. Might be worth a look if you are ever back that way and if they are still in business.

They have some ex-TT A320's on Mining charter. They were moved out there to make more money as they are higher capacity than the F100's. They are to be returned to lessor shortly after the Bain Capital buyout.

Virgin didnt make any profit for the last 10 years, the company owe billions of dollar to creditors. But for some reason, the company continue to operate all these times. You all can see the politic and the influence behind Virgin, simply because it a British Brand name. The Asian shareholders not stupid to throw money into the company to subsidised for all these Australian travellers. The same happen to Tigerairways, the Singapore company.Green and gold want to get a free rides, put on your seat belt , the futre generation going to pay it all back. Nothing for free kids.

@@garystrankman3841 Isn't that Mitt Romney's professional razor gang? No doubt they'll just do what Joyce did a few years ago with Qantas and make it leaner and meaner. Curious if boarding from both doors saves time? I can’t count how many flights were sitting waiting for a last minute passenger, who then had to walk all the way to the back (I knew because that’s usually where I am, but not the last row as many last row seat do not recline at all in the US), stow their carry-on and sit down.
