I'm your close neighboorhood and muslim while watching this city in mindanao island its look like we are the same genetic.. Same history 300years colonization... But,, the special think is the mindanao island is the independence region and not occupied by spanish empire,, it is the same in here in Aceh Singkil, Aceh, Indonesia this area is independent area with islamic law.. I know Singkil and Kulintang in there... Your name is the same like in here,, not using spanish name,, and we call mosque is masjid tooo... We are the same root..

Our culture as Maranaw tribe (people of the Lake) or Bangsamoro people in general is a combination of Malay culture, Indian and Chinese but mostly are from Malay and we can confirm that with the similarities of naming things like what you have mentioned. Personally as a Maranaw, I am proud that part of my origin is from yours specially we belong to the same faith which is Islam. And yeah, you are right that Mindanao was never been colonized by the numerous group of colonizers landed in our land. We were illegally annexed to the agreement while they are forming the so called Philippines. But alhamdulillah and we were able to preserved the real history in which before the birth of the so called Republic of the Philippines, we Bangsamoro people are already in Mindanao having our own laws, culture, faith, education, identity and all.

I'm very curious about your culture in there as a muslim about the history, culture and independent identity not being westernized or easternized blocks... The ancient culture/tribe and own identity is very important to united!! I'm curious in marawi city they have Jakarta shirt shops which is taken by my Capital of Indonesia is Jakarta.. I'm still curious how my indonesian root living there in mindanao island which is stay in marawi city or davao city ? I know your country is being pupped long time a go by westernized politics and now i think the politics become a chinese politics block is the problem until now? I have a suggestion about your countries to become a super power in economies you have to keep your rich ancient root Culture and Identities not to become western block or eastern block,, just neutral independent politics like in there in Indonesia is have a strong culture and united in diversity is the key the country become strong and stable. And whats about the election in there?? Hope you can get a sharing information, history and culture and collaborate with my country as your muslim neighboorhood in 300 years a go with the muslim leader in your countries now called Phillipines. I visited from USA and was attacked 3 times in 1 day. I called police and they also attack me. I then called the Parish priest and was attacked by him. I then called the sisters of mercy and was severely beaten by them. I called a taxi and the driver ran over my foot and stole my money. I will never return to your city.
