Congratulations! Your videos brought back many memories of places and bad weather from my TransAm tours! One of my TransAm tours, I had over a week of solid rain through KY and VA. Definitely puts a damper on things. No pun intended.😃

Well done. An epic ride and a great video record. Remember, there's no such thing as a tailwind. There's a headwind and there's 'my God my legs are feeling good today'.

I met your friends in Southern Illinois. I was hosting a community bike ride and one rider showed up. I saw them two and encouraged them to check out the tunnel on Tunnel Hill Trail. Fun to see them in your video!

Congratulations, well done on making a fantastic record of an amazing journey, we've enjoyed following your progress across the States and it's been a great insight to the ups and downs you and your new found friends have enjoyed and endured throughout the trip. We particularly loved the bits with Becky and Ash, mind you we are biased. All the best in the future, may you continue with your great adventures. Ant & Kari (Becky's Mum and Dad) 🎉🎉❤

I rode my Nishiki from east to west in 1981 and I remember Verginia being the toughest to ride. With 52/39 X 14/28 even as a 25 year old I had to walk a lot of those hills. The moist heat didn't make it any better. But it was the trip of a lifetime, although many similar trips came after that one.

Congratulations and welcome back to the real world! I really enjoyed the videos, especially the drone shots since I did the same route in 1984. It was very interesting to how things have changed. We did not have the rumble strips, but had fewer bike trails. Sounds like the dogs in Kentucky have not changed! Thanks again for bringing back the memories.

For your post ride video: what gear you didn't use, gear that was essential, gear you wish you had. Cost of trip [hotels, food, misc...] Problems finding camp spots? Dogs? How much bike maintenance ?

Congratulations! I am going to miss the weekly videos... Can't you ride back a different route? ;) I am looking forward to the gear video. A breakdown on the cost would be cool. I am planning a San Francisco to New York ride next summer and I am hovering up all the information I can.

Hey, I hope you are doing well and adjusting to life off the bike! I hope you will, at some point, do a gear list and final thoughts video. Included in that I am particularly interested in hearing about how much this journey cost you. I hope that this message finds you well. All the Best, Rob

Great videos, I've really enjoyed watching your journey. It inspires me to try something like this at some point! I live in Newton, KS so you drove pretty close by to my house. Do you have any plans/ideas for your next big adventure?

I'll miss your weekly trip updates but will look forward to your next uploads. I got into road biking when I lived in Kentucky, but have been in Colorado for the past twelve years. My friends always talked about run-ins with dogs, but interestingly in all my years biking there I never had an issue. You seemed to have a fondness for the eastern states. Did any state stand out to you as a favorite?

Hi. Been following the journey. Very inspirational for my own cycling and plans. Video work is also really good. I am wondering if you have an idea of your weight of your bike and panniers etc. total weight? I am planning a big ride similar and think I’m overpacking and was wondering what you carry. Cheers.
