Acrylic Landscape Painting of Sunlight in a Forest - Time Lapse - Artist Timothy Stanford
"Light in the Forest" - 9x12” - Acrylic on Canvas -
After doing so many recognizable landmarks, I wanted to go back to a general forest scene. This image inspired me with the bright, yellow sunlight casting such dark shadows across the foreground. That contrast of light and dark made this piece somewhat challenging, but I enjoyed playing with the purples in the reflected light. Sara says I should have named this piece “Arrival” because she thinks the light looks like a UFO landing, but I’ll let the viewer decide what this “Light in the Forest” may be!

Thank you and no I painted it myself beforehand. I just use a large 3 inch soft bristle brush to paint a thin layer over the white canvas. Seems to help relax my eyes.
