Acrylic solid surface thermoforming

Bending / Thermoforming acrylic solid surface materials like Avonite®, Corian®, Hi-Macs®, Krion®, Staron®, etc; thermoplastics and similiar thermoformable materials by using an industrial pre-heating oven and vacuum membrane press technology of Global Vacuum Presses.

Can you form a piece of corian which is 20mm thick?

Hi Jordan, yes it is possible. Important is a homogenously heating process and we recommend heat platen technology from two sides for preheating. There is a limit to achieve small radii due to thickness of the material, but also some tricks. For more information, send me an email: [e-mail]. Regards, Florian
