Hi Gerda! Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial! I'm wanting to do something similar using a roll of canvas and use it as a photo backdrop. Is the acrylic gesso flexible enough to be rolled up and down or will it crack and peel off?
@GerdaLipski5 ай бұрын
Hi! Gesso is used to prime a Canvas. It is possible to roll it up carefully.

Try using kilz which you would use for undercoat of painting a room. Prime canvas mark as you choose let dry throughly. Proceed. Keep the kilz well sealed so remainder does not dry out use ventilated area
@lindaehemann96776 жыл бұрын
Do you make your own binder too? Have you used gold leaf and if so what kind of glue do you use. What do you seal your painting with. Love your technique.
@GerdaLipski6 жыл бұрын
I´m not a chemist, so I can´t produce binder. I just fill it up into old water bottels or something. I didn´t use gold leaf. Normally I don´t seal.
@katemorgan4346 Жыл бұрын
Wonderful videos. I am so excited to try your method and was wondering if you make your own structural paste and if not, under what name is it called pleased so I can buy some...or make it. I did find a recipe for thickening acrylic paint by boiling 2 cups water with 3 tbsps cornstarch and then add it when cooled to the paint. Do you think this would work?
@GerdaLipski Жыл бұрын
I often mix acrylic medium and marble powder. But you can mix the medium also with sand, coffee ground or something like that
@Margot44547 жыл бұрын
I really, really like it very much ! Two questions: 1) did you add some other colour to the bottom part out of camera 2) what now? Will you put matte varnish on it ? It looks great with that rough texture but is it secure ?

Hi, I didn ' add any other color - and the surface is Safe without varnish.💜
