I purchased a Savage 10 .308 on Memorial weekend. The poor thing sits lonely and unused in its box, while I've been trying to figure out what optic to put on it. I have zero experience with distance shooting, and had no real comprehension when I bought the rifle how much I'd have to educate myself on rifle scopes. Anyhow, I went to your website on a totally different mission (looking at a red dot) and very happily stumbled on THIS little gem. Short story long, I think I have found my optic!! Have a bonus check coming next week, and then it's "Merry Christmas to me!". :)

These ACSS Reticles are seriously the most badass thing I have EVER seen!

...? I mean, the reticle is cool and all. But, if this is the coolest thing you’ve ever seen and it’s all down hill for you now, that kinda sucks.

I love this reticle! Got it sighted in, confirmed the trajectory out to 250 yards, got everything entered into StrelokPro and used the reticle features to drop my 6x7 bull elk at 650 yards with a 6.5 Grendel rifle! One behind the shoulder, one through the neck, it’s pretty amazing!

I have this in a Grendel and would love to know your set up
@raylivingston-modernsurviv13735 жыл бұрын
stroudads nothing crazy. I have a quality lower and got a 20” 6.5 Grendel upper from Palmetto State Armory. I sighted it in and entered everything into the StrelokPro app (ballistics calculator, recommended by the folks at Primary arms.) I sighted in at 43 yards, the first cross over for a 268 yard zero (recommended through the app for maximum point blank range with a 4” radius margin up or down) then confirmed the trajectory at 100 and 250 yards. It was all on, so the StrelokPro app was able to tell me exactly how to aim / hold over at 650 yards, and it was dead on! I was lucky to have a dead wind, but wind estimation with the 6.5 mm projectile isn’t bad, as it doesn’t drift much. The app can help with that too.

You know what I like about Primary Arms? Y'all actually take time out of your day to talk to your customers. By the way, I've ordered many things from your site and have not been disappointed yet. Just got this scope in today. My only gripe was my overnight shipping actually took two nights. But I'll live. The most important thing is that your customer service and the products y'all offer are friggin awesome. Thanks.

Dmitri - I went from Zeiss Conquest to Nikon Prostaff 5 to Vortex Viper PST to Falcon Menace until I saw your video. Needless to say I decided on the Primary Arms after the video since I am new to riflescopes. This reticle is not only authentic but very practical. I can't wait to throw some lead down range with confidence in my mark being true.

Video is very helpful. Thanks for making it. I do have one of these and really like it. Can't say I have enough rounds shot with it yet to be 100% sold on it, but I do like it so far and would totally recommend it. Definitely wouldn't call it a cheap scope, in referring to the quality. Maybe affordable would be a better word. My only complaint, and it's not a big complaint, is that at max magnification the eye relief is pretty unforgiving.

I love primary arms reticles. I won't be using any others for scopes. Would love to see some more in the red dot area. I think Holosun has one of primary arms' reticles in one of their sights. Would like to see more options. I have the 1-6 on my Kel-tec RDB and a 1-8 on my Desert Tech MDRX. Excellent combinations.

I’ve not yet gotten an ACSS for my 556, but I did get the one for my 22lr and I love it. It’s so perfect it makes it not even a challenge. Eventually I’ll get a 556 version, but for now everything is within red dot ranges. And the Aimpoint PRO is doing the trick. So much so I have them on 3 of my AR rifles.

I have 2 of them the 4-14x44 I call it old faithful because I had to sell my first one. But when I picked up the second one it was even better. I believe it is better because the first one I owned was used. And it was one of the first to be released to the public. Not saying that it’s a bad thing at all whatsoever. I DID NOT WANT TO SELL IT however I needed money to fix my truck. At any rate as soon as I was able to replace it I did. It’s on my 20” AR and believe you me that rifle is surgical. With this scope and my rifle 300 yards is nothing not joking at all whatsoever. Well I decided to put together a AR10 in 308 and picked up the 3-18x50 ACSS. Same deal just as accurate just as easy to use. My next ACSS for my bolt will be the 4-16x50 ACSS I believe it will make a great combination. Especially with everything I have experienced with the other 3 I have owned and currently own. Seriously anybody who is considering getting something from primary arms. I don’t think your going to be disappointed they truly do make affordable QUALITY scopes in my opinion.

I've got a budget bolt action rifle in 270 with its factory stock scope. First things first, I want to see how well the rifle shoots. I've free floated the barrel. Heading to the range to try a few different brands and loads. Then replace that scope with an ACSS scope. Probably not this one. This model is going on a 308 I'm currently building. I am considering selling off my other, older optics and replacing them all with ACSS optics!

What I would prefer would be ranging an entire person's height much like the Russian PSO, yes I know it would be less accurate due to the various heights but instead of two torso ranging tools repeated on both sides I would just have one side for ranging torso and one for height, that way I can range height which I find easier and then confirm with any of the other ranging tools if I choose to. Other than that, amazing reticle.

Question/Concern: You mentioned that you used a chevron for better visibility of the target, but you only have the chevron on the section for the closest range targets where visibility would be best. Then all the others have obscuring lines and dots. Would it not be better to have chevrons in those areas too? At least have it on the vertical for the 300-1000yd markers and get rid of the obscuring lines there.
@joeditz4811 ай бұрын
So he kind of addressed this. Use the bdc if you need quick rounds on target, but most long range shooters should have their distances memorized, so the exposed turrets allow you to dial for the range and take a well placed shot. You get tons of options with this system
