While you're carrying objective items (EG: Boxes on this level or the boxes on special delivery) you have the knife instead of your bash for whatever reason.

I'm going to assume you're going off of the number of boxes, ignoring/ignorant of the fact that when playing solo they reduce the number of boxes to account for that. If there was an option to do it with the normal number of boxes while playing solo I would have done that. Also you can see the difficulty at the start, that's part of why I even look at those menus to avoid false accusations like this one, apparently still not enough for people though.
