Thanks for reacting to Angelica's and Ethan's duet of "Shallow." First off, yes, Ethan starts a little pitchy but hey, he's a country singer and isn't good country music supposed to be a little pitchy? He, like Angelica, is from Georgia which is why both of them were performing at this Georgia Make-a Wish fundraiser. He's now pretty successful as a songwriter, working in Nashville with other great songwriters. He released his latest single last month - "What Grandpas Are For" - and it will definitely pull on your heartstrings. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q2fTgGicnc-Jd6M Angelica posted several pictures of her and Ethan at this event and they are wearing the same outfits during the live performance and in the Green Room so we can't tell if this duet was before or after their live performances. If they had already performed, their voices could have been somewhat tired for this duet. Also, the photos showed that the Green Room had tile floors and Formica covered tables so lots of hard surfaces which doesn't help with the audio, especially the high frequencies. And it's so funny that Angelica is shorter than some of the Make-A-Wish kids honored at this event. And yes, Angelica is able to emotionally connect with the people she sings (or acts) with, and everyone says that they just love working with her. I've always thought that, when she was in a coma and near death, God reached down and said, "not yet Angelica," and filled her with an infinite supply of love and joy to bring to the world.

She does another cover of this on a morning show called Good Morning LA when she was 11. If you watch that cover she does it really well along with the low notes. This is pretty good, anyone whose ever done this type of singing will tell you that it’s difficult to do it in one take. Looks like they just did this on the fly, that’s what makes it good. Check out the solo live version by Daneliya Tuleshova.
