hit me like a truck when u said it’s more than an acting decision when it comes to moving. i haven’t been able to decide if i want to stay in nyc (born & raised) or pick up and leave to pursue my acting career. i kept doubting my intuition bc i couldn’t understand why i’d want to move to pursue a career when i was literally born in nyc, the place ppl dream of coming to pursue their careers! but your words provided the clarity i needed: my path is my own and different from others. thank you, you’re a light in this world!

Girlllll! Not to say don’t consider moving but please get involved with acting in nyc! I live in dc and travel up to nyc all the time for acting jobs. There so many opportunities there, Netflix, Amazon video, Apple TV are a few I’ve worked up there. Start by looking up casting agencies there, grant wilfey is a good one,a lot of them cast for extra roles which is a great way to start because it gets you on set with people already working these shows. And is a great way to network.

Hey, thank so much for your videos! They’re really useful. I’ve been wanting to be an actor for the past 3 years, but haven’t gone to a proper acting class yet. I’m 16, and I went to an acting school before covid, but it was only once a week, and it was more about rehearsing for a musical rather than a class. I live in a small town in England, so there aren’t many options on acting classes. They’re either quite expensive and not the best quality or only once a week, or are full-time schools which I’m sure are good quality but are very expensive and would overlap with my school (which is not an option as I have to finish high school). I would like to study acting at university, but my parents don’t agree with the idea of me only pursuing acting as my only career as it is extremely risky. I honestly believe I can make it but in a way I agree that having another career would be good for me in the future, but I’d like to pursue acting professionally as well. So I would like in the future to find a good acting school that is good quality, affordable, and that wouldn’t overlap with my university or high school (at the moment). So I was wondering if you could give me tips to find a good acting school, or make a video about it? Thanks again for your great content, keep it up!

I really appreciate your content. There’s so much useful information, however I think It would be a lot more useful to hear detailed answers about what you would do instead of what you would recommend. That way, it doesn’t have to be a long disclaimer followed by vague info.
