The whole point of MADs (at least as I see it) -instead of AMVs- is to show the scene with the credit to its key animator And yeah, although the Sakugabooru site definitely helps with the credits, it's still a lot of work to credit every scene when there are so many of them in 25 minutes of footage

Not being hyperbolic when I say this: this video is probably the closest example of animated perfection that I've ever seen. The editing is so *absurdly* smooth, and the music so *absurdly* well-integrated into each scene, that I felt like I should be paying for this after having watched it. Hard work like this can't be overstated. This video isn't just a montage, it's art in its rawest form. Absolutely incredible.

I'm a fan of you hobbes but I don't believe you have done that after the liquid sakuga vid in just 5 months, you would have to edit every single day for what 6 hours??? For me it's not possible to do something that take this much TIME and WORK when you aren't even guaranteed to get anything back at all (money) other than self satisfaction and practice as a hobby and honestly there are way easier hobbies to have but like you have to eat, go to your real job, rest a bit and sleep, live your life, practice your hobbies that aren't WORKING etc and if I'm correct there is no way a human can stand more maybe you have max 3 hours for editing. So either you have been preparing that edit 2 year until you have done that video or you are insanely insane but either way I have a mad respect for you.
@HobbesSakuga2 жыл бұрын
@@-shizu2776 Thanks my man. It's pretty common for industry editors to edit in 10+ hour sessions. Editors I know very often work into the early hours of the morning. Video editing can just take a really long time. I worked on this video around 4-5 hours after work on weekdays, 10+ hours a day on almost all weekends/days off during those months (it was a bit over 2 months, I think like 2 months and 10 days?). This video was a big deal for me so I put way more time into it than i did my previous vids (my older vids would've taken around 100 hrs max to make I think, some videos took just a couple of days before this one). I was also in lockdown when I made this so not much else I could do at the time. Plus I wasn't working on the Liquid MAD during that whole 5 months. I worked on it probably 3-4 weeks total during that time period.

@epistarter11363 жыл бұрын
@Chief Sy -Anime and Gaming- sakuga boy does those kinds of transitions and times clips nicely with the music although they are pretty short compared to this and somewhat uncommon. What you’ve done has played a major role in allowing sakuga animation to be available on such a mainstream platform, and on top of that making them very appealing so not only can Animators or sakuga lovers appreciate the videos, but also regular people who can’t deny that these videos are extremely well made. Videos like this always remind me how much I love every anime. I love new anime, I love old anime, I love popular and obscure anime. In the end, no matter how many "critics" there are putting a show down or how popular it is to dislike a particular series, videos like these shows in the end that the work and love put into ANY one of these shows will always override the words of people viewing it. That's why I love every one of them. Man, I really love animation.

The anime of today takes inspiration and uses the building blocks of the past, so elitists that bash old or current anime are dumb. This cycle will continue as current anime will mold the future of the medium as well. I definitely implore people of today to watch both older and newer shows because it's interesting seeing how anime began and where it's gotten to.

I love everything about it, from the action scenes that you selected, to the music choices, and even the transitional sequences. It’s soooo well done. As a long time viewer of this channel ive gotta say this gave me just as much hype as a finale to a beloved long running series, the music choices were great with each song pertaining to a different kind of action. The future funk Plastic Love remix being effects much like the dedicated effects video and the Bebop Tank remix for hand to hand, again, much like the dedicated hand to hand video. unfortunately i cant go back and check the swordplay video but there is no better swordplay music than a Samurai Champloo Shiki No Uta remix, the gunplay segment also felt like it had a nice through line with the sort of prep compilation at the start and then going IN with the pure action. Your videos keep on getting better and better and somehow you keep making them longer which is FFFFUCKING FFFANTASTIC! Also the interludes somehow made the whole video seem candid (didint know an amv could do that) and i really like it. Basically you and your channel are amazing, congratulations on your magnum opus. Edit: just saw the companion book and... wow. You put in so much effort for something that didnt need to be done but did it anyway. Your channel is definitely the most extended love letter to animation ever and that companion book proves it. THE BEST 100K SUBS CELEBRATION EVER.

man, it's like every half year that I come back to see this, and every time, I just get more respect fo everything in these videos. this is absolutely why I fell in love with animation. Impossibility of these shots makes these animations and movements even more powerful than anything that could be achieved in othermediums. There's almost a sort of honour to these animations, a respect emparted from the animator to the page. each frame needed to be lovingly made, every pose planned for, every background painted, every line drawn. animation is expensive and time consuming, so to see so much effort put into such small clips is amazing. It feels like it actually changes how stories can be told. I'm incredibly thankful for the fact that of all the things for me to fall in love with, it was this.
