As Austrian, let me tell ya : it's Pumpkinseed oil oily and fatty, minimally bitter, pairs fantastic with acid gets used very selectively in cold dishes of our traditional cuisine tho. beans, feta, onions, potatoes and OG's top their (cream)soups with it the hardest stain to wash out your favorite shirt, period. nothing compares

The Bean-Dish Dressing was Pumpkinseed-Oil not Poppyseed-Oil. Seeds get milled and roasted, then they are pressed. Thats why the oil is almost black.

The only country besides Austria that's turned on to it is Russia, they are the only significant importer. I've also never seen it in any international culinary shows and he eats it by accident and calls it poppy seed oil. Sad.

@@ziko317 St Peter Stiftskulinarium for a more fancy dinner, pricey aswell, the Fideler Affe on Linzer Gasse is great for some traditional Austrian food, same goes for zum alten Fuchs, also on Linzer Gasse, get a Bosner and a Käsekrainer at one of the local würstlstände, I used to frequent the one at the end of Franz Joseph Straße
