God i love the fun silliness of the silver age. I kinda wish they would briefly bring back the supermobile as a gag. It would be a great obscure call back.

Just this cover alone instantly recalls admittedly still-mild memories of Garcia-Lopez's Superman art. At the time, I was young and uninvested in comic books enough to only have looked at the art, not read the stories. Those Supermobile arms. '70s sci-fi, baby. Part of what defines "sc-fi", YEAH! Hahahahaha...why hide the micro-teleporter in your MOUTH, Supes? Ah, diaries. Now (anti-) "social" media. The end of humanity's humanity. Amazo's wearing amazing suspenders. Superman just put the preserved specimens of endangered/extinct animal species he keeps at mortal risk, by callously loosing them upon Amazo! How irresponsible, Superman! Amazo can spontaneously project a hologram of Professor Ivo? What a prescient, "amazing" ability to include in his design! I actually didn't intend for that pun but I'm leaving it. "Supermanium." 🤪 The arms of the Supermobile, punching either side of Amazo's head: "KLOPP!" Great pick, for not only a cover feature but the first appearance. This was fun. As comics should be. Definitely 1978. Good times, great choice for a read and a review, Marinus 🙂.

Lopez is a legend!! Same here. Stories, smories. I want COOL ART!! Silly, young me ..... I loved the arms. So cool and nunreal. We were doomed from the beginning, Mike. xDD He could have let them loose on the world and we then have a war between humanity and astro-animals!!! And waht a coincidence and convenient that he can do thjat in COLOR!!!!! That word. God. It never will leave my brain🤪. hahahah the sound effects are great!! The golden age of comics (along with the 80's and 90's)!!!! Thanks Mike. ONWARDS!!
