I have about a dozen McFarlane multiverse figures and the only QC issue I had was on the 3 Jokers Batman I got had two of the same shoulder joints. I got a second and no issues whatsoever. The thing about the ab crunch limitation on this figure isnt the design per se but rather where the stem of located, it's off center towards the front. Not only that, the base where the stem is plugged into is big, so that bumps into the mold when you do the ab crunch. Overall I like the McFarlane stuff. Great for customizing, but not without their flaws.

I've had 3 different McFarlane figures break right out of the box or not even be connected correctly because the peg hole had plastic in it from the molding process, That's why I'm not getting anymore figures from McFarlane unless I really like them.

Yeah I've moved from McFarlane only to NECA mostly and McFarlane on clearance and only when they look great.

I painted one all black but I painted the trunks first and was thinking looked nice and feel people will do that

people's over reliance on blue tac is baffling to me! Don't paint this guy black, use rit dyemore synthetic graphite, remove the cape and head and trunks, trunks will have to be painted because there painted right out of the box and it looks phenomenal, especially if you throw the year two Batman head cast in black on it!

McFarlane looked like toys to Neca, but SH Figuarts, Mafex and Mezco makes Neca look like poor man's collectibles. And Hot Toys, make them all look like toys. Then you have Prime 1 and Queen Studio that just blows everything else. I guess it's all about what people can afford.

I think there is more to it. I have Mcfarlane, Neca, Hot toys and a prime 1 predator statue. I still adore my Predator collection because the variety is amazing and with Neca I have all the movie characters by my movies. Which I could never do with statues, forget the prices haha the space is a killer. Prime 1 space needs actual real estate in your place. It's crazy. As a huge movie fan, my current favorite is NECA by far. More characters, from more movies, less space, and they look great.

Mafex stuff looks like kid toys lol, way too small and weird proportions on things, bland paint. Mezco also has the size issue, their Predator looks like a small kid compared to Necas Predator design. Not to mention the absurd prices those companies use. Mezco has the nice cloth goods tho and accessories going for them

Haven't had any issues with mine🤞 what paint did you use to paint his trunks? Did you use a primer first?

No primer, acrylic. Even cheap works well with trunk material.

I love mcfarlane, and this video is very fair and truthful! Todd fathers great. Hes also a diva lol But the boys' toy isle was bare for long time. Seeing dc classic characters makes me happy. Plus with marvel and others, rasing prices him managing to keep cost same( for now) is dope. Even planning on releasing a guns weapons pak to subvert warner bros dumb ban on fun.

That's a McFarlane design? Yikes. What's going on there? Where the torso and belly meet, for articulation, is visibly distracting. I'd rather not have that. At all, lol.

Just saying McFarlane used to be top-notch. Kind of sad someone has to go in and fine tune something like this.

Yeah, you can definitely tell they're skillfully going for cool looks, but as cheap as possible and as fast as possible since the license is up next year. They want to get it again for a few more years. At the lower price point, lots of DC fans are buying characters they don't even like just to complete the line.
