Really neat. I like to see Action Man's slight differences from G.I. Joe. An example is the flocked hair version of Mike Powers, the atomic man.

I used to have the Intruder back in 1975,but I used to make him fight my Six Million Dollar Man doll with the bionic eye that was a magnifying glass through the back of his head. Old Skool!!!

The disappointment when you find out on xmas day that it just fills up with water and your action man has to wear a full diving suit or drown was crushing, the whole point of a submarine is to keep you dry, even a 7 year old knows that. And it had no propeller.

Yep, Palitoy also invented what the americans called "kung-fu" grip and later produced a better version of body for the figure,one that I think is better than a lot of todays 1/6 models.

We like the Action Man Team TV commercial with the capture copter, Sea Wolf submarine, appearance of Bullet Man and other Action Man figures. GI Joe also had to deal with the invasion of the Intruder. Back then we still played GIjOEs but did not go for the alien caveman Intruders.

My Action Man years were between 1973 (Adventurer 'with realistic gripping hands!') and 1977, Atomic Man. I am guessing the Intruder was the same year as Atomic Man, which is when the popularity of Action Man began to wind down. I guess a metal headed man in a shiny red leotard wasn't enough to save him.
