My only experience riding a bicycle in New York was in 1978. I rode from southern California to Brooklyn to visit relatives. I came from New Jersey on the George Washington Bridge and rode down Manhattan to the Williamsburg Bridge. I don't recall seeing anything like a bike lane. The only other cyclists I remember were all the messenger people madly pedaling through traffic. What a difference 42 years can make.

Your video description clearly says Greenpoint was not until 16:00 but I swore at 11:10 you just got into Greenpoint. I guess I was off. At 11:10 you are probably near Long Island City but not actually in Long Island City? Out of Astoria but probably near the Queens Trinity Church? Edit: sorry there is the church 5 blocks ahead that answers that. I also guessed Williamsburg 2 minutes before at 21:00 instead of 23:00 but yes viewing again and speaking of Long Island City I guess that explains it. Edit: the city looks 15x cleaner with so much less people. At least by comparison it usually looks much dirtier. What a shame one disaster averts another

My two initial observations- (1) You skipped the Astoria that people might want to see!, and (2) Let's see if you make a last-minute decision to go on the 59th Street Bridge (a.k.a. whatever) like last time!

East Broadway has gotten quieter these past few years. Not too busy now and not as prosperous. Too much gentrification. A lot of the Fuzhous are moving out of this section and going to the outer boroughs, especially Brooklyn's Sunset Park Chinatown, which is now the largest Fuzhou concentrated enclave in all of NYC. Also many of the Fuzhous from outside the city that used to come to East Broadway for shopping and important errands, most of them have all shifted to going to Brooklyn's Sunset Park Chinatown and some to Flushing's Chinatown for all those needs, which all of these factors have contributed to East Broadway becoming quiet in addition to the fact that the tourists have no interests in this part of Chinatown. However, I think the pandemic made the prosperity over here even worse.

Google search the following: asian lady attacked brooklyn july 14. You'll see a picture of 2 perpetrators who attacked the poor lady. A $15,000 reward is being offered. You may have seen these folks before, they might even show up on one of these streams.

Huh? He is enjoying the outdoors! Why is that not safe? Yes I know, COVID-19, but out in fresh air socially distanced is best other than in your own home.

@@dougtagg9162 I don't get your comment. I am in full support of masks and social distancing. But I do believe being outdoors is one of the best activities we can do. But of course socially distanced and masked if not. I cringe when I see people too close not masked. But I trust AK to know when he needs his (always out) mask on or off when walking around outside.
