Webinar is a short form for Web-based seminar which means a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web. Online meeting and live meeting is a form of real-time communications RTC in which multiple computer users, all connected to the Internet, see the same screen at all times in their Web browsers. One can avail all 3 i.e. webinar + online meetings + live meetings by deploying on premise R-HUB web video conferencing servers.

Thank you for being clear and concise; no fluff, pure content! Love it! Q: Is there a 'camera switcher' software you can use with Webinars (e.g., zoom) for multiple cameras?

This video is really awesome - helped me clearly differentiate use cases and these different types of software, especially webinar vs online meetings. Here is what may be another category, if it exists at all (and, if not, may be a big gap in what is needed, especially after covid times..) - online networking event software - i.e. smth that really emulates a real-life event (at least how we ran them) - ppl come in & network, then there is content and more networking at the end. The only such thing I found so far is Remo, which seems to have pretty odd / weird pricing tiers that do not match typical organizer's need that well...Zoom has break out rooms but ppl cannot really move around themselves.. Does any of the of the webinar software have such a networking feature - i.e. so ppl can "move around" and chat with others? B/c a huge reason for ppl to attend events is networking; however, if an event has *only* networking, it can get a bit boring / plain - content + networking is best...

Well let me share on this topic. I have good experience of having social Zoom parties. The funny part here is that you can add background image or video as your background and make it more interesting & fun. I have noticed that it is difficult to broadcast music or play the same music for everybody in the party during live events, I know that Spotify do hav a new option for that but it is not distributed to users in all countries and we will test it next time when it is possible to do so.

Hi, Shane -- Thanks for your presentations . I appreciate your review of webinars tools, particularly. We have hosted live career events with 50 to 60 presenters per event - all simultaneously at different tables (prior to Covid, of course). We are concerned about virtual attendees and many solutions you featured provide for up to 1,000 per event (and more if they can stream through youtube). But what platform and what webinar provider might you recommend if we want to have, let's say, 12 presenters (or more) per day with 4 presenting simultaneously at each of 3 sessions? I'm imagining its a matter of purchasing as many webinar licenses as we might need. But would you imagine we should look for price breaks in purchasing multiple licenses? One other thought, too, relating to the "flow" of candidates. If 1,000 candidates attend any given virtual event and visit, let's say, 10 different presentation rooms, the flow wouldn't be 100 in each room but then again no room would have 1,000, either. So I'm curious if you'd recommend we purchase a number of "25 per room" attendee licenses (maybe Meeting/Group Call licenses are cheaper) as opposed to purchasing a number of 250 per room webinar licenses. I'm trying to think of the best way to economically purchase and use webinar -or- meeting licenses in volume so that we may service a large number of presenters as well as attendees. Thanks!

Super helpful information! I thought I needed webinar service but now I think I just need a meeting/coaching platform. Do you have any recommendations? We do an online after care counselling service. 12 people at once with one councillor, twice a week. The ability to have a verbal discussion is a must. Thanks for this!

Hi Shane, great video! Really clear! I am organising a scientific competition with posters, talks, jury, etc. But it has to be online, and I was wondering which platform is the best in this case as it isn't exactly a webinar. Should I use a webinar platform?

Hi, I work for a General Sales Agent in tourism and we often organize training webinars in order to promote and sell the products we represent (car rental, airlines, hotel platforms) to our partner travel agencies. Normally we organize them through the gotowebinar platform. I am looking for an effective solution to increase the participation of travel agencies in our webinars. I would like to ask you if you believe it is correct to project the webinar ALSO in live streaming on our Facebook company page and if this is possible. Can you give me some suggestions? Thanks for your attention, much appreciated.

Hi Shane. I'm wondering for your input on Vimeo Livestream for total video newbs. I'm a web-dev/digital marketer, not a video guru. Vimeo Livestream is looking good, but $900 minimum (yikes). Thanks man.
@ActiveGrowth
@ActiveGrowth 5 жыл бұрын
I think Vimeo is worth looking at if you're going to do webinars to very large crowds. If you regularly have 500+ people in the audience, it's actually quite a lot cheaper than most webinar solutions. On the other hand, if you have that large of an audience and you do sales webinars, you can easily afford any solution...

FAST internet shows with ads are big now are they are often just old shows but are said to be live streaming? And sport events with gambling seem to be live streaming too... yet most streams still seem to go down with more and more masses watching all at once, how can we choose better streams?

Hi, i am looking to have the four members of my music band meet up / rehearse on line - what do you think is there best platform for us to use? we need to see and hear each other without latency (as much as possible) - thanks
@ActiveGrowth
@ActiveGrowth 4 жыл бұрын
ohhh, that's tricky! every calling solution I've tested has latency. here's an idea, off the top of my head: try Discord. It's audio-only but it's made for gaming, so I imagine they prioritize low latency transmission. in general, I think you have to consider sacrificing the video feed in order to get low latency audio.
