It never fails to amaze me how you translate the abysmal into easy-peasy accessible for the intermediary ("humdrum") guitarist like myself. Your genius lies I think in your ability to fully understand how our limited visualization of the neck impedes our playing, so you baby-step us into a higher level of playing by explaining everything from murky to clarity, while highlighting the bigger picture. You were born to do this, dude! God bless you!

Wow, this will keep me busy for a while as this ties together the first set of cowboy chords I learned then down the neck with the Caged shapes and a bunch of neat little fills and chord slides! Lots of little nuggets. Thanks I will need to work on this for a while.

This is probably the best lesson I have seen on youtube for unlocking the mysteries of lead guitar that goes beyond noodling a scale.

Amazing how much precious information you can find in this lesson! Tiny pieces snap into each other helping me to see the power of „triad-chord-shape“ thinking! My highlight in this lesson is, that I can use (a part of) the B mixo scale over the B7 chord! It‘s much easier to think in chords than in scales! Thank you Brian! You flashed some💡 again!

Brian, this is great stuff! It definitely resinozzlated with me! After watching your tour through the CAGED shapes, and their scales, etc, I've been playing various melodies that I make up, all over the fretboard. I just cycle through the shapes, playing I, I , V melodies in the same region. So, I was ready for this! I picked it up really quick. Thanks again! As usual, your instruction has moved me along at light speed, in terms of my playing ability. I can improvise all over! Ya-hoo! Feels good. 👍 👌

Fabulous piece of music Brian, I love the lyrical little pauses, a bit like the thrill before driving fast over a humpback bridge or that rollercoaster lift you get with country waltzes or two-step dances. The backing track rhythm with the sort of alternating bass feel is a lesson in itself. The tune is reminiscent of You are my flower, Swiss influenced mountain bluegrass. Great lesson thanks.

What makes the intro solo on patience so good is slash is soloing over the chord changes as opposed to just playing penatonic licks and hoping for the best.
