This security guard has definitely paid attention in class. His actions were instinctive and spot on. His uniform looks like those at the banks throughout Brasil. The patrons entering appear to be holding their deposit papers as they enter past the second security door. What is unusual is that banks usually employ at least two or even three inside, NOT just one. Thank God he was able to be with his family again after work that day.

Most likely this video is from Brazil. We can see the abbreviation “QUI” at the top left corner of the video. It comes from “quinta-feira”, which means Thursday in Portuguese. Besides, on the back of the uniform of the security guard we can see the letters QSL, a security company here in Brazil.

John, it has happened here in Brazil, unfortunately (yeah, as a Brazilian citizen I feel ashamed for living in a country where bandits do almost all they want to do when holding a gun, and images like that is shown all over the world), to be more specific, in a small town called "Brejinho" in the State of Pernambuco. The woman who appears nervously on the screen trying to get out of that mess, haplessly died during the gunfight. The perp who pointed the gun to the guard also died instantly and two of his partners managed to escape. As for the guard, he's OK; no severe injury except a wound in his hand. I was thinking that since her focus was on them, perhaps she was trying to help him. But then after I posted the comment I started thinking that maybe she was just trying to leave. The torso is kind of clutched in, and her run leans towards the door, not them. Then in the reflection I saw another guy running away, but more so than that, the door was wide open for a clean get away. On a side note, you can also see the friend of the criminal come to the door and take a shot at the security guard.

The main reason he survived was the fact that he was paying attention, both for the initial ambush, and the second attacker. Also, good situational awareness with his firearm as well. It is not uncommon for people to keep pulling the trigger not realizing they are out of ammo.

How many gun stores do you see CCTV footage of robberies from? I repeat, if you want to live weak, go party in Orlando. Notice nobody attacks gays at the 2 gay gun clubs in town.....just weak gays elsewhere.

A guard is expected to have a gun so if he gets held up at gunpoint somehow, the first thing they will check him for is his gun. If other employees carry a gun I think it should be hidden, since robbers don't expect anyone else to have a gun so they can ambush them back. Just my opinion.
