Tell them to get the screens away from him, guarantee that’s the culprit. My brother had adhd in the 90s it’s undeniable when a child actually has it, most kids now are over stimulated getting steady streams of dopamine hits from screens causing them to act crazy when they’re not

At public school here in Belgium, they give pills to children to get them more concentrate by the age of 6. The teacher can force you to give pills to your kids if he estimate that they are not concentrate enough...it's horrible. One more reason to homeschool. Thanks very much Jady, you are helping a lot.

I totally agree.. sometimes pills are not good as the brain gets used to medication but once you train the mind in a certain way,there is no need as we can intervene to control some behaviors into positive one's. 🇿🇲🙏

@lisacaroline49732 жыл бұрын
I'm no expert but could be you just need to be super persistant, say "this is what is happening right now (sternly)", and when your 3 year old is running around just keep bringing them back and telling them this is what we are doing right now there is nothing else for them to do, maybe keep other toys out of reach like in a box or something, than they should realise they dont have a say in the matter and that running around a room with nothing interesting happening is only fun for so long than it gets boring. If you keep at it for a whole 10-20 minutes they should realise that this activity is what is going on, even if they tantrum about just say "ok you can cry about it but ill be here doing this activity and you can either join me on this activity or just watch me do it". Maybe let them get to the frustrated crying because they really want to do something else but show them thats not going to change your position. Then when thats done and the ordeal went pretty bad I'd say "lets do another activity now and hopefully it will interest you but if not, we're still going to spend time at it whether you are involved or not, we're still spending this time trying this activity". Then if they arent interested in the second activity either, try another. And you should eventually get them going on something even just for a few seconds. Each time you go at it just push them so they've stayed focused and engaged a bit longer than last time , say "last time you did this activity to this point" (maybe it was 1 or 2 rounds or 1 or 2 cards flipped) and remember to encourage; say "that was fantastic when you did do some of activity with me" and " now this time I really want you to make it further into the activity", So we'll do 1 more round or 1 more puzzle piece placement or whatever it is than they did last time.

Hi dear Jady iam a mom of 2 year old boy and he tears his books how do I read to him and put him in discipline
@thetravelingphotos77052 жыл бұрын
Instead of focusing on ‘how can I discipline him’ try thinking about ‘how can I prevent the behavior in the first place’. Give him a toy or activity to do while you read to him. It will keep his hands busy and his focus off of ripping the book. Then you can work with board books (as these are sturdier) and showing him how to be gentle with books. It takes time but as he gets older with practice he’ll get better at not ripping books 🙂

Hi. I just stumbled across your video and it's very helpful. I am so grateful. I have a 6-year-old son who has a bit of trouble staying still on the chair during activities. Also, he has difficulty keeping himself engaged in a classroom setting and simply just doesn't associate much with his peers of his age, according to his teachers. I am currently working on improving his focus and attention span by planning activities myself on one-on-one basis. In my assessment of my own son (talking as a nurse too), he performs better with one-on-one teaching and is more interactive with older children or adults. I would just like to ask about 1 thing. For the pen that you used for your worksheets in plastic clears, is it the same one as the whiteboard marker? By the way, putting the worksheets in plastic clears is a great way to make the worksheets reusable instead of printing them in copies.

I refused drugs for my son. He had a hard time focusing or reading and retaining what he read. He wasn’t hyper. 3 teachers mentioned drugs. No. He has to learn to live with and practice focus on things he doesn’t like to do. Especially in school subjects. We had a great class for they work with these kids. By 6th grade he could focus just fine. No drugs. No pill is a cure on so many things like this subject
