🌟The mind blowing thing here is the fact that Dimash is actually a Muslim, who hails Virgin Mary with no lyrics 'A Capella'. It sounds like a prayer but this is not about Dimash - he is just the bridge, the link between all Humans and all Gods out there, the Universe... Dimash can speak the cosmic language and connect us all with the Cosmos, the Universal Love...🌠 Thank you, Cedric! It was awesome!🤗

Oh my goodness Cedric. You blow me away nearly as much as Dimash because you are so extremely inciteful into what Dimash does. Very view reactors have that kind of perception, but you have it for the tiny nuances in his vocals as well as the visual and cinematographic elements. Only one other reactor, (who sadly is not on KZbin anymore because he is too busy in his life) who was a photographer, had similar insight into everything else that Dimash incorporates into his performances. Now you are the only one. I have heard Dimash say in interviews that he is heavily involved in everything in his performances. He knows exactly what he wants and why and most of the amazing thought he puts into everything goes right over our heads or totally unnoticed unless you explain it. It is amazing that you totally “get” where Dimash is coming from. That initial explanation of him letting us know it’s not just about him, that humility, is exactly what he would be trying to convey. Not one other person has explained that but I feel it is so very very important as everyone raves on about Dimash being an angel, or some even say God himself, which Dimash would hate. But Dimash is saying no, I am just a tiny part of the big picture. Perfectly Dimash. Thank you for bring that to our attention 😊👏👏

The last three songs Dimash presented, Stranger, Fly Away and Ave Maria seem to be a message to his fans and to the world about his future. I believe the combination of the three offer a special insight to his future plans. He has so far been focused on the Easter Hemisphere and is on the verge of exploring the Western World. His Ave Maria has no lyrics. There are only two words in the title in old Latin. Ave Maria translates to Hail Mary. Mary to the Christian World is a mother figure and much beloved and is also found in the Quran. He uses his voice to reach the soul of those listening with the power of his vocals and by doing this makes it a universal song.

Sorry, for the delay. Yes, I did see "Omir oter!" It speaks volumes about who Dimash is as a person and his love of country and music. He is the ultimate story teller and a noted academic and scholar. The visuals of looking into the eyes of people on the screen remined me of the ancient saying that the Eyes are the Mirrors of the Soul.

The song opens a door to whatever divine presence is there and allows us to feel radiance, love, happiness and a whole host of positive emotions, different for everyone depending on how a person is feeling. I will greatly anticipate your reaction to Omir Oter, as powerful as Ave Maria is, Omir is just as powerful in a different way. You talk about questions and answers? Dimash is the best of the best when it comes to technical abilities; but what we got here is Dimash singing from deep within his heart and soul. He speaks without words...and we cannot help but be moved. I love what you said, "The best art makes us ask deep questions and makes us think about deep things...what is love, what is loss." Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us, for making yourself vulnerable. This was a beautiful reaction to a beautiful, ethereal song.

I've really enjoyed your reactions to Dimash. They are very balanced and interesting because you talk about an amazing amount, not just the singing, like all the other reactors. Please react to dimash ikanaide. He sings this in the studio so might not be as visually interesting for you, but I would love to hear your reaction to the song. Just so you know there are no subtitles but you can get the English translation before you do the reaction 😉. It's the first time Dimash has sang in Japanese. Even before I knew what he was singing I was emotionally involved. You said in one of your reactions that when you act you picture yourself in that situation and it helps you to act showing the right emotion. Well I think this is definitely the very best song Dimash has ever sang with a view of displaying his emotions. It's almost like he himself has recently gone through a brake up. I have never seen another singer sing with such conviction emotionally in ALL there songs. I love to watch Dimash singing not just listening because it's always such a breathtaking experience. I wonder if I'm the only one who finds Watching others sing live boring in comparison 🤔. Don't forget to please react to Ikanaide next. Thanks for your reactions and all your hard work in doing Dimash justice!!!

What a heartfelt , deep and emotional reaction to a song that speaks to anyone whether they believe or not. That's the beauty of Dimash's voice and work : they are Universal , he somehow manages to include everyone no matter age, sex, religion, race. As his other song says "we are one" . Pandemic triumphantly demonstrated how equal we all are, how vulnerable we all are , how similar in reactions or beliefs no matter our background. Dimash showed - like he has done before with "Know" - that not even words are needed to take us to explore , like you so beautifully showed- our deepest questions. Love and unity might be the answer. I also think that 2022 will be way better ❗ No way but upwards😍 Greeting from Athens 🇬🇷

Cedric! This was THE best Christmas gift! Yes, I was so hoping you’d cover this one eventually, and I do believe this was my favorite analysis of yours to a Dimash performance to date - and to one of my absolutely favorite Dimash songs to date! So insightful. (The Moulin Rouge reference at the beginning was the cherry on top - my favorite movie of all time. Lots of favorites touched here today!) Loved hearing your beautiful, touching, well-spoken interpretation. I know some folks were upset (wat) that this wasn’t THE “Ave Maria” (Schubert’s), but I think that’s exactly the beauty of it. You know it’s going to be a spiritual experience, given the namesake, but that spiritual experience ends up being unique to every individual, regardless of your beliefs or lack thereof. Dimash is, of course, Muslim so I feel he, himself, was very in touch with both Allah and the “spirit of music” during this performance, and it is just a beautiful thing to witness. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Всех с Новым Годом! (My Russian lessons are coming along...I hope lol!)

You hit the nail on the proverbial head. Dinash is a very humble, and spiritual person, He is Muslim and his faith is strong. He loves his family, his country, and its traditions, is respectful of everyone, and worries about the condition of the world in general, even to the point that during an interview, he expressed concerns for his future children. He always acknowledges everyone who helps bring his concerts to the stage after the performances. You are the first reactor to have pointed out the message he was trying to convey. Also, thank you for not being ashamed to let anyone know that you are a Christian. Me too. Dimash also says that he wished that he could bring more love to the world and no wars, but all he can do is sing.

Merry belated Christmas, I hope you had a wonderful time with loved ones. I pray that God will continue to bless you and yours. This was another very enjoyable reaction and a very thoughtful and thought-provoking analysis. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to, and only Dimash's voice could evoke such a profound emotional response in me. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered and I am moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice. This is a vocalise interpretation of the opening vocals of Schubert's “Ave Maria”. Igor Krutoy (on piano) composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. The piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to “a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!” The last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce", the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most difficult vocal exercises and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master. There are at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. Here is a list of different composers/compositions: Ave Maria - F. Schubert (1797-1828) Ave Maria - C. Gounod (1818-1893) Ave Maria - J. S. Bach (1685-1750) Ave Maria - G. Verdi (1813-1901) Ave Maria - E. Elgar (1857-1934) Ave Maria - P. Mascagni (1863-1945) Ave Maria - J. Brahms (1833-1897) Ave Maria - L. Cherubini (1760-1842) Ave Maria - V. Vavilov (1925-1973). See note below* Ave Maria - S. Lindley (1948- ) Ave Maria - N. Skipper (1951- ) *This is the famous composition of Ave Maria misattributed to G. Caccini (1551-1618). It was actually composed by Russian composer Vladimir Vavilov in the early 1970s. He was forced to attribute most of his music to someone other than himself because any religious composition at that time, especially one invoking the Virgin Mary, was criminal under the communist dictatorship governing the Soviet Union.

I just found your channel. I am also a Born-again Christian and this song reminds me of what Heaven will be like in our worshiping our Lord. Absolutely angelic. In our heavenly worship we will sing to YAH, and the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus means Yeshua in Greek. So they both have Yah in their names. Thank you for sharing this and God Bless you!

Your analysis of Ave Maria and Dimash's intention, plus relating it to your own faith in God, life and love was the best explanation I have seen anyone give of this performance. Good job! It made me cry too. It is utterly beyond exquisite. This was your best yet, mon ami. Keep up the good work because we inquiring minds want to know! 👍

The name Dimash means in their language: "He whom God sent". I have no doubt that it is. "Ave Maria" is a fragment of the opera by Russian musician and composer Vladimir Vavilov that Ygor Krutoy deignedly composed and arranged at Dimash's request especially for his voice. In the performance Dimash appears with a pair of wings representing the Angel Gabriel when he comes to announce to "young Mary" the birth of our "Lord Jesus the Christ". "Ave Maria" is a meditation, a prayer considered the great mystery of birth and death when the soul descends to earth and ascends to heaven in return from whence it came. The clothing that Dimash wears portrays the polarities that symbolize the "Tao" I Ching: black represents the basic instincts rooted in the earth and the white on top represents the purity of heart and soul evolution that finally evolved can ascend to heaven. "Ave Maria" closes with a golden key the trilogy of songs: "Stranger", and "Fly Away". ............

As for Ave Maria This composition was written by order of Dimash. Moreover, the order was very specific. But as always. As in the case of Fly Away, Dimash describes in detail what the song should be about - right down to the words that should be in the lyrics. And even hums a melody. In the case of Ave Maria, the order was as follows: without words, without a clear resemblance to similar works. Meaning: to show the beauty of music in simplicity. The simplicity and versatility of music. For example, you can play a masterpiece on just two strings - like a dombra or Qobyz. The song begins with the sounds of nature: water, wind ... The heart beats ... Each of them and all of them together is Music. If you listen carefully to the melody, you will hear that its construction and composition are very simple: two lines of four notes are repeated all the time. These two lines are connected by a transition of two or four notes. Only the tonality, subtones, overtones and colors of the voice change. Those. the whole melody is built and depends on the voice and capabilities of the performer. By itself, it is as simple as a phone book. Further. The whole composition consists of four parts: 1. Voice acapella 2. Voice + piano + strings 3. Voice + piano + chorus 4. Voice + piano + chorus + orchestra. And in the final - again acapella. Everything else is vocalization from Dimash. This is his personal work in Belcanto technique, mezza voche, Barocc style, twang + mask and others. Four is the number of a square musical notation.

Hello from Russia, Cedric! Thanks for the great reaction. It was both touching and informative, helped to see the whole picture of what Dimash and his team have done. Merry Christmas, God bless you! May the coming year bring you what you dreamed of.

For you, Cedric, and for the performance, this is a guiding light in my world: “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” Rainer Maria Rilke

Dimash said something about this at the end credit of his Almaty 2022 Stranger concert, in Kazakh. Thank you Leo Cantro (reactor) for providing the translation. It is like de ja vu, I think I found my answer here - each to ask our earthly question, to prepare for the world unknown that will inevitably come...💙💙💙DQ

Bravissimo Cedric, once again a brilliant masterclass. With this piece, I feel the answer comes before we know what question to ask. It has certainly been a challenging 2-years and I imagine it would have been harder without his presence on the stage or video. He knows when he is needed, his music appears and gives us permission to feel through our hidden emotions helping its release. You are also needed in this world, your masterclasses are unique and outstanding. Trust. Happy Christmas!

Those of us love you none the less because we can't afford to support your patreon. This song immediately got me in the soul when he started singing. I hope that I am greeted in heaven with this sound. If this doesn't hit you spiritually you are missing what life is for. I think he is the driving force of everything that happens in his performances.

Cedric: in this Holy Christmas I wish you that you can feel the hope, peace and love of Jesus blessing your life and your dear family. Thank you for your sensitive and perceptive analysis of this Ave María, your gaze always goes beyond the surface and finds the true meaning. You mention the word "gift". And it´s what arises when you see him deeply moved like never before. From the very beginning where the noises are quieted, the heartbeat arises and he closes his eyes Dimash is telling us: "Don't look at me, listen with your hearts." His voice a cappella, like a prayer of the soul. The blue twinkling of the stars of light, the columns of the temple, the wonderful choir ... the expression of his hands spread in an embrace. Everything invites us to raise our eyes for a moment to Heaven, to serenity, to peace. He could have called this song with any beautiful name: as "Universal Love" or "Joy", but Dimash chose especially to call it AVE MARÍA ... which symbolizes in the world the Mother of Hope and the tenderness where children find consolation. Yes, this is a personal gift from Dimash to each of us, where he has offered us the BEST of himself: his beautiful voice, his compassion, his whole heart. It is a song that will last in time ... Be blessed DQ. A big hug for you dear Cedric from Argentina wishing you the best and GRACIAS !.
