David Gulpilil resides at Murray Bridge, South Australia, the Aboriginal acting great is far from his home - about 3,000km - in the Northern Territory.
His career spans nearly 50 years, with accolades spanning the iconic Fingerbone Bill in Storm Boy (1976) and receiving best actor award at the Cannes film festival for his role in Charlie's Country (2013).
