In his new film Fisherman's Friend, which is based on the true story of a group of village fisherman finding fame through their love of sea shanties, James Purefoy reveals that not everyone had the stomach for the choppy sea scenes. One of the sound technicians was incredibly unwell on the boat, but James says she was very tactical. A lot of the rehearsals and scenes were shot in pubs, which James was perfectly comfortable with, saying that other countries just don't understand the British pub.
