So happy for her she is so talented and her comedic timing is so good. I’m glad that manolo spoke on behalf of his mom Bc everyone else’s speech was disappointingly shallow and left so much to be desired . Through Manolo’s speech we were able to appreciate the hard work and trajectory of her career and also the significance of her making history on the walk of fame - this moment was lost on all the rest who gave a speech. The objectifying is so old and last century and to much extent in very poor taste and disrespectful- it’s obvious she’s talented and beautiful but they did her no service in pointing out the obvious on her big day. @Sofiavergara you are a treasure to the Latin and American communities and you are a force of creative femininity, confidence, courage, grace, gumption, elegance, pride in community and beauty inside and out! I am a huge fan of Sofia but at the same time, when did they start giving out stars on HWOF to celebrities/artists who've only been in the business a short time? I mean, it doesn't make sense. She's a great actress, I mean... they should make them wait like 20 years or so before getting one. I mean, she got this a few years after being a hit celebrity on TV. And this doesn't just apply to her, but many others I've seen over the years. Michael Jackson got one in 1984, but he had been performing since he was a kid. So it was about time. Not hating... I don't think you have to make someone wait for n award when they deserve it at the time. In your mj example I would say he deserved the award much earlier but that doesn't mean Sofia now should get it later. They can't enjoy their success and talent if they aren't rewarded for it for a long time. Take artists for an example, Leonardo da Vinci's art was appreciated after he died and I feel that it was horrible that he wasn't rewarded for smth we can all take a look at now but he never felt the praise he gets now.
