There is a great journey of who they are as people and what jackass is throughout the movies. 1 is an experiment. 2 is let’s have fun. 3 is getting back to it. And 4 is passing the torch.

Passing the torch won't really work long term though. The new recruits were fine but nowhere near interesting enough to carry things by themselves. Four already felt a bit like something was missing with Dunn and Bam not being involved. If Steve-O or Knoxville ever step away I reckon that's the end of the road.

To be fair, the first 2 movies Steve-O was at the height of his drug abuse. This one he was at the pinnacle of what he used. Like he was on more than coke, seriously he hallucinated an intervention that never happened around this time. He said that's what got him to do all this, numbed in some form from the drugs.

My mom has loved the Jackass series since the beginning (said no one ever except me). She loved the show, she loved the movies to the point that she saw them in theaters (as did I, but f&^%$ no, I didn't watch these with her). One of the things she always said was, "These guys are gonna be crippled and barely mobile when they're my age". That was about 20 years ago. They are largely (outside of Knoxville who literally exists on Adrenaline *Stupid formula*) done or broken. This kind of stuff makes lasting physical issues. I wouldn't trade any of it. Jackass is one of my favorite things ever. You always will find a chuckle or laugh at others expense. They created the expense and gave it to us.

Steve-O isn't done, just a week ago he crashed a car while dressed like a crash test dummy for a stunt. Ehren clearly wasn't done last film either. Pontius said in his last podcast that he was filming a Jackass stunt soon

I highly recommend Jackass 4 if you want something with much less grossout and much more physical and psychological torture. It also has a throwback to earlier stunts and jokes. It's pretty great.

fun facts - when Dave England landed hard after the fire hose, he actually tore or detached his own rectum, requiring major surgery. -for the red rocket, the first launch actually shot a rod out, almost killing knoxville. -there is a deleted scene or maybe jackass 2.5 where they bet someone 1k to eat a full horse patty.

16:09 I had a bad experience at a lake. I was on a five man tube being pulled by a boat and then guy was going pretty fast. It was very tough to hold on to the tube so o decided to bail and tried to jump off the tube. However my legs got caught under someone else’s and I ended up being stuck half in and out of the tube. So I essentially was smacking my upper body against the water as speed. The other guy jumped out so he could release my legs. I just floated there for awhile not moving in so much pain. That’s something I’ll never do again.

To make people laugh or puke is why they do it! I am thoroughly enjoying this. This is what us Jackasses get a kick out of. Why they do it! To have fun and bring some joy to people's lives. Us masacists enjoy it. I think I'm a masacists cause I love this stuff! Grew up with it and do things like this group of friends did. Not as out of control we walked the line! During the Embassy Mine Test Bam and Dunn both had cups and a Facemask! Jonny pulled the string and used his hands as a cup and face shield. He is a Boss!All these guys are Awesome not just Wee Man! This was a show from the 90s before a movie. These guys are my kinda crazy and have sobered up and hold each other to account and try to help the ones still strung out. Just a different time we grew up in. I surfed and slated and have taken falls on water and concrete. At speed water is like dropping on concrete at speed because I was on a wave then had to ride the ligjhtning.😊

I highly recommend watching and reacting to Jackass 2.5, before watching Jackass 3, and 3.5 after it because they're both, especially 3.5, extra footage with the crew sorta doing this live sketch interview style thing describing the content they excluded for these .5 movies. 3.5 especially talked in depth about it and a lot of cut stuff is just too hilarious not to react to. 3.5 is honestly my favorite in the franchise to this day just because of how in depth it went behind the scenes.

I would like to request something a bit different. Its a cult classic called 'They Call Me Bruce.' Its about a Chinese immigrant who is good hearted but terribly naive and not terribly bright (usually, he has his moments). He unknowingly works for the Italian mafia as a cook. The main characters main selling point is that he looks like Bruce Lee. His boss gets the mistaken impression that 'Bruce' is a kung fu master and they've been losing drug shipments to kung fu FBI agents. So they send him as a guard with their next big shipment, telling him its the special flour he uses to make his noodles.

(Didn’t count the intro with the bulls as a skit but I guess it kind of is) I know… What is wrong with these goofs?! My biggest beef actually was them playing on their friends phobia. I thought that was seriously uncool. Also in the first movie I got upset about some of the disrespectful things they did in Japan but I’m sure they explained and apologised later. Still… In a culture based on respect and considering others… They pushed it. Wouldn’t get away with a lot of it now.
