Just wanted to let you know I am using your 5-minute studies to homeschool my son. We read the chapter, then watch your videos. He loves the handouts. Thank you for making these! I can't wait for more!! He is 10 and doesn't like the curriculum we have used in the past. He just wants to read the Bible, and this is perfect for us!

Hiii so I just had a quick question about Judas Iscariots death. It says in Acts that he died by his intestine being spilled out but you mentioned that he died by suicide. I’m just wondering why there’s two ways of him dying in the bible and if they connect with each other in any way

Hi, below, I posted a section of text from my verse-by-verse study of Acts 1. This is my current best understanding. - In a not so pleasant text, Peter describes Judas’ demise. - Matthew said Judas hanged himself. - Peter said he fell headfirst, and his entrails spilled out. - So, which was it? - I suspect the easiest way to reconcile these records is to assume both happened. - Judas jumped from a high place with a rope around his neck, the rope snapped (or the tree branch broke), and he fell on something that caused his innards to leave his body. - Or, Judas hung himself, stayed suspended on the rope for a time as the flesh around his internal organs was compromised by decay, his body then fell to the ground, and his guts were spilled out by the impact. • There are some other theories and hanging methods that are used to harmonize these two passages, but I’ll let you explore those on your own.
