Factssss I love to serve people. I thought my love language was words of affirmation but it's acts of service. I love how this guy thinks. I pray to meet people like him.

Most times we give people our love language
@swimm3r13720 күн бұрын
exactly. and thats the whole point. The point of love languages is to give other people THEIR love their language, which is what THEY need -- not what YOU need.

I love this. Thank you so much for sharing this. As someone who identifies with the "Acts of service" love language, I have felt so much frustration and guilt, and have felt that even the way I love is wrong. I have slowly come to find out that this way of loving does exist and is not wrong.

Yes, I learned from the first experience. The ex boyfriend was mad because he gave me gifts but he criticized me and was very mean to me. ): my love language is acts of service & words of affirmation.

Very true - this is possibly why I feel very loved in the last relationship because my ex was able to communicate with me so well - he basically gave me the best. I’m the person who needs act of services and 2nd possibly gifting (bcz I like to buy things for my loved ones too - parents, siblings, friends, colleagues etc) We ended because of long distance and some other reasons. I started to date a new guy - I found him attractive but I don’t appreciate what he is doing for me. Basically I don’t think he is the one after a few dates - now I’m considering should I give up because there is no point to change him.

I love love serving but I'm only seeing myself filling him up......I'm running on empty, who's gonna fill me up?Why and I feeling unloved,unwanted,not desired, lonely in this relationship, not heard and I see myself constantly, daily Rollin out the red carpet for him yet I'm treated like the dirt on the ground? I uplift him,he tears me down, I'm gentle with him,he's rough and mean towards me,I bath him,massage him,cook for him ,clean for him,I go all out daily to show him love but I get nothing in return

What love language would be asking your partner to acknowledge you and your actions in public or to friends and family? All I’m asking is to show our relationship off a little in public. Not so much affection just let it be known we are together..?

Acts of service is not really a love language, it is a replacement for actual love from someone who had a damaging childhood or traumatic experience. Making love is not topping off someone's car gas tank. Get help! If you research you find out that these people also are either intimacy anorexic or just plain never open themselves up to real intimacy. They live sad lives either filled with loneliness or cheating and make their spouses miserable.
@jimmysmith7362 жыл бұрын
Yeah tbh it seems like it’s just a power thing. Who doesn’t love being served lol
@stickybandit23462 жыл бұрын
@@jimmysmith736 I for one do not like being "Served". Acts of service means someone else thinks they have the right to take over a project you are working on or doing things "for you" that you do not really want them doing. I do not want to owe someone for gas they put in my car. I do not want someone messing with a project that I haven't had time to finish or get the right materials/parts for. It is not only "NOT LOVE" but actually rude and inappropriately disrespectful to do things like this. Even it it is just a light switch cover, there is a reason I have not put it on yet, because there was a problem with the box not being flush and I didn't want the new ceramic plate being bent or cracked. Come home one day and the dam covers are on... maddening, not nice, but extremely rude.

@@stickybandit2346 we all have preferences, but I just don’t understand all this ‘love language’ stuff. It just leaves more room to manipulate for me tbh
