Thank you SO much for all the detailed information, SUPER helpful and much appreciated!!! I did want to mention, I grabbed your Free Clean Text pack and out of the 5 text, only the one is working correctly, the "Pop Up Version 1" the others: Snap Beast V02, Snap Tok, Snap Tok with Background, and YT Captions for some reason are not working correctly and show on screen "Font Not Found: Proxima Nova Bold" and messages of the sort. I am on the latest Studio version for reference. I did take the "Pop Up Version 1" and did some customizing and popped that Custom Text+ up into the folder, which is working GREAT! Hey there Thanks for the info! In the readme, we show where to dowload the fonts to get them working. Reason we did this is we may need to pay licensing for some fonts. This is a magnificent tool!!! The only thing I would add is the ability to customize all the way down to the font level, i.e. character styling. You can't do that with text + which is odd, but you can do it with regular text directly from the edit page. I would like to be able to highlight a character, a word, or several of each and change the style to anything I want. A different font, a different color. maybe even add highlight shading etc. That would, IMHO, make it phenomenal!!!

I watched this video after ignoring it for a bit due to thinking it would be another windows exclusive plugin. But not only am I amazed at the plugin you've created. But when I started this channel, it was before Davinci Resolve had autosubtitles. I had to manually type in captions. And then they released auto subs, to which from what I recall, you could not change the number of characters or make the subs a single line. Very bare bone. The fact that I got an amazing plugin and learned something new is incredible value! Just switched back from Premiere today because Premiere Pro and all it's plugins are subscription model. This software and community have grown so much over a years time! Great work!

Would be nice to actually tie the animations to the underlying audio (WAV) file so that strong syllables in the audio would change the attributes of the word size or color, for example.

this is genuinely really good, and You can make your own templates by adding a custom text+ with your own fonts and style with animations that you have made from transform etc. thank you so much for the help

Hi everyone, First, Orson, thank you for your fantastic contribution to the community! I have a small issue with the Snap caption feature: when I select UPPERCASE, it doesn't capitalize the words. It's working for lowercase and Capitalize, but not for uppercase. Is there a bug, or is it just me experiencing this? Thanks, everyone!

Hey there! We should have fixed this in a small patch. Are you on V16.00 or V16.01?

@TheOrsonLord Жыл бұрын
I'm a mac user as well - you need to have a folder called "Snap Captions" case sensitive in your resolve project bins (folders). inside that folder needs to be template text + elements. The example project comes with that bin and template text effects

Hello may I ask if this is supported in DR 19.1? This is working fine in my vresion 19, but it is not working in version 19.1. I would really appreciate if you can modify it for us to use 19.1 or above!!! :)
@TheOrsonLord2 ай бұрын
DaVinci Resolve has rolled back a specific feature for plugins on the free version of the software. This feature is what allowed us to create plugins with user interface controls. So unfortunately moving forward, plugin support on free Resolve is going to be a lot tougher :/
@AsukaAmaneHeavenlyMusic2 ай бұрын
@ ah. thx. understoo!! so do you mean free plugin would work on DR Studio?

@@AsukaAmaneHeavenlyMusic Yeah that's correct, the free plugin works in Paid DaVinci Resolve.

I've realised that you don't have to just use it for captions. My videos don't have any speaking on it - just English grammar questions, so I asked chatgpt to put my grammar questions into an srt file format, with each question being 10 seconds, and your plugin just generated all the questions as separate text+ boxes. It's exactly what I needed. AMAZING! @@TheOrsonLord

love it! transcribing was really missed in Davinci. one question, does it only support English?
@TheOrsonLord4 ай бұрын
It basically supports any language Resolve auto transcription supports. The only notable difference is the fonts will need to be changed to your language for it to work.
