Hi Callum! Reinhart here, thanks for the showcase! QOTD: Aurorus is my top fossil, but I also really like the OG pair, which was one of the reasons I wanted to try these teams. And yeah, there's a reason you don't see most of these fellas in most battles, Ferrothorn just completely shuts them down... Lucario can just PuP through the entire team... and Escavalier... and Registeel... yeah you see the pattern. If the cup had only been Rock and Water types then the fossils may have had a chance, but not with so many Steels running around. I did run a couple games with Rock Smash on Kabutops, but it's such a bad move that it didn't really improve things that much. Cheers!

Dracovish. Had a lot of fun using it in the Battle Tower in Sword & Shield. Too bad it is banned on Pokémon Showdown to Ubers because of how broken Fishous Rend is. Adamant nature + Fishous Rend + Strong Jaw + Choice Band + you attack before your opponent does = Yikes. That is broken.

Yeah I was referring to taking less damage, remember they still needed to reach another ancient power to take care of the Sandslash afterwards so the boost just made things more comfortable

How is he so lucky by not running into any Lucario? I see them in 3 sometimes 5 games per set...no way this team would work in 2000+ with all the Lucarios and Escavs.

These games were played just before Riolu hatch day so they were not as ubiquitous in the lower Elos. And yeah this team doesn't work AT ALL in 2000+

I tried this team. Went 0-5 lol. Lucario on every team, takes out entire team by itself if it shields. Can't use this in my ELO I guess, must be nice to not encounter a single Lucario.
