I used to be a student of chess coach Abhijeet Majumder sir (Surya Ganguly's pioneer coach) and I can see the similarities between the typical endgame tactics taught by both... I discontinued playing chess because of immense passion and hardwork required to play at competitive level and also because of failing to achieve success in tournaments. Now I am a medical student and these streams help me connect my chess memories... Quite nostalgic and relatable

No matter who the best chess player is, Surya is the best teacher. Knowledge is one thing, but the ability to present it in a meaningful way requires genius. Became a big fan of GM Surya from these streams with Samay.

@Vikas Sure, I’ve heard of RB Ramesh since I was a teenager. My judgements are of course limited to my own experience. So ‘best’ should always be treated as a generalization:) Also, I’m a big fan of Sagar as well. He’s a great presenter and amazing story teller. All of these streams are awesome for chess in India and that’s what makes me super happy.

Surya I genuinely want to ask you do you think while preparing for a 10 minute blitz game against 1600 strength max, is spending time on complicated end games worthwhile? Particularly as in time pressure, the opponent is unlikely to play best defense. Nonetheless, your personality and mind is excellent for teaching. Loving this content.

I agree with surya sir reason samay bhai lost the first game was bcoz he doesn't like to draw. Surya sir please also teach samay bhai the importance of draw. He knows but i don't know why he never accepts draws (atleast onstream he doesn't). Also i was a bit shocked with that complete humiliation he did to his opponent but then i remembered arey yaar content chahiye pkka.😂 I was sure he'd blunder somewhere after giving up all his pieces and it would end up in a draw and there'd be a minclip incoming.😂
@akankshagarg69744 жыл бұрын
Yeah, he wanted to have a mini clip in which a stalemate would happen
@samurai154014 жыл бұрын
@@akankshagarg6974 yup but judging by surya sir's expression he was quite shocked and even he felt it was a bit unnecessary. Only when samay later said he was also thinking of content and that's when was he a bit more relieved. It's still acceptable if samay bhai does it bcoz he can be doing it for content but we shouldn't do it bcoz i feel we should atleast respect our opponent.

Why queen cant defend knight at 50th puzzle at the end
@samurai154014 жыл бұрын
I am not sure whether it's the correct or not. But after Rac8 , Qb4 we can go dxe4. Then if Bdxe4 ,Nfxe4. Then if white knight moves simple back rank mate if not . There's 3 attackers on that knight . So simply rook takes knight. Rook takes rook. Black rook takes and if queen takes we take back wih our queen. And it's queen vs rook. Losing . I don't know if this is right what i said.
