ACTUALLY Playing the Post Game of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky

The fighting and recruiting legendaries section is still in Sky, it's just in the post-postgame. You're able to evolve after beating Darkrai, and can go on to a whole set of new challenges like the seven treasures (each guarded by a legendary), refighting Dialga and Palkia, more events and a ton of new dungeons with rewards and legendaries at the end.

It's not as big as something like the Rescue team postgame so most just tend to forget about everything that comes after Darkrai. There's also Zero Isle if you're up for it, and making drinks in Spinda's cafe unlocks new dungeons with the final one being Destiny Tower, which involves Arceus. (Also about the events i mentioned, there's no more big story missions, but there are some small pay-offs like one that I think involves Manaphy.)

Riolu makes your challenge way easier . Super effective against dialga and darkrai. Also use violent/quick seed, blinker seeds, totter/sleep seeds on all bosses. Moves like grass whistle and supersonic are broken in this game so spam those too and you can easily beat darkrai

Darkrai is so brutal if you are unprepared. I’d call it a mandatory super boss. Easiest method of winning it is to just stockpile reviver seeds across the entire game for that fight but slightly more fair is to use moves to buff your speed or really any team wide buffs if you can find one. If you can, linking agility to an attacking move can be helpful for these types of fights. Last thing you can do is just make sure Darkrai is under a status condition as often as possible. He really is Cresselia’s biggest threat. Legitimately though that fight did not need to be as much of a difficulty spike as it was.

I played Explorers of Darkness before I had a copy of Sky. Darkrai doesn't have Ominous Wind in Time/Darkness and he's still a nightmare to fight, they really did not need to make it harder.

you did the post game story, but there still the post post game where you can evolve, recruit all the legendarys and do the 99 floor dungeons like destiny tower, finally you could do the hardest thing in the game which is recruiting keckleon

here is how you beat darkrai normally before you face off with him just get a insane amount of reviver seed's and what i do most of the time get pikachu as your partner mon make it so it will only use agility for 3 turns (thats the max speed you can have) so you get 4 turns while they get only 1 then take out Rhyperior and the last step have pikachu spam discharge and thats the strat i tend to go with

Beating Darkrai is tough but very possible without cheating. Though it may take a lot of attempts, strategy, and items I've always been able to eventually beat it. First time I remember abusing vacuum cut and room paralysis items the other.times I forget what I did only that it was different.

I think it's ironic about the darkrai fight, because I don't remember ever losing it. I failed the graduation like 7 times because of the 2v11 or whatever, but I don't think I ever failed darkrai

Explorers of sky is basically exactly the same as time and darkness except twice as much added to it with no changes but just additions (Which is how I like it)

I always grinded reviver seeds for creselia. Also after darkrai you get a second post game. The 7 treasures

Yeah all you really need is a Stun Seed and/or a CrossEye Seed and the battle should go fairly smoothly

the strategy for beating the post game easily is Pikachu and discharge as your main pokemon and a water or grass type who can kill the Rhypherior. If you can defeat Rhypherior, you can clean up their team easily. The key is to minimize the turns Darkrai can set up

Funny thing is, my entire team did not get hit even once in that boss fight because i was a Shinx with Discharge and my partner was a Chikorita that spams energy ball. I paralyzed Darkrai with a paralysis seed and Chikorita energy balled the Rhpyerior. I then Discharged everyone else, one shotting all but Darkrai and killed Darkrai easily.

i love pokemon mystery dungeon but i rly hate the fact that you need all the progress to evolve your starters until Darkrai. Thats basicly the main story ._. Once you finished Darkrai theres just extras you can do. Nothing special that makes you feel like the real story. But the music is worth it

Brother there is no way it took you 20-30 tries while being lvl 100 with 999 hp. Removing the challenge from a game downgrades the whole experience and it makes it much harder for the game to leave a lasting impression on you. Think of dark souls but you beat every boss in 2-3 attempts...nobody would be talking about the game and people would just forget it like 10s of other games they played. Unlike dark souls, pmd is made to be played by 5 year olds, so you having a hard time while giga cheating the game just means you went brain-off mode for the entire game and refused to learn anything.

How did bro fail at Darkrai so bad, on my first try I just used a Stun seed, and a vile seed to immobolize Darkrai, I take out the rhyperior with lightning rod, then had my partner use a linked charge + discharge move combo to knock out the enemys on the side, and most of my attacks hit Darkrai so I'm unsure what all the misses in your footage was.

1) the fact you had to put in cheats to beat Darkrai is kinda sad.. seems to take the point out of this challenge. Use the intended game mechanics of room wides and chucking seeds at Darkrai. 2) postgame is way more than just this post game story. There is a recruiting legendary post game after all this and the treasures. 3) I love your editing style and video format, but as a viewer the two points above really take the whole point of this video and throw it away. I hope you intend on redoing this video in the future.
