In Brazil, used cars became more expensive. Maybe it was because of chip shortage. Car manufacturers are changing the kind of car they sell (less focus on cheap cars, more on hybrid/electric and luxury). Petrol prices are one important part in inflation. Millennials and gen z prefer other kinds of transportation ( me and you included). Question: Could you give a brief idea about how are you thinking about and how it impacts price? Do you use bayesian statistics to think about it ( statistician question)? Mental health is the best. I hope you can take you calculator to many places soon!

Not an insurance question. I am writing a novel and one of my protagonists is an actuary. I'm trying to figure out how 35 years of working as an actuary (she is 62) has shaped her life, personality, world views, habits etc. Perhaps what personality traits drew her to the profession. I have watched about 5 of your videos which have been super helpful. (I particularly liked the Things I Sacrificed to Become an Actuary). My novel is set in Canada so the fact that you took your university and work in Canada is great.. I want my Sarah (protagonist) to be authentic but also someone that the average reader would say, OK I understand a little more about what an actuary does without yawning and putting the book down.

Depends on the topic, but im generally pretty sheepish, yeah
