I wish someone would make a tank combat singleplayer game in the style of RO2. You have your crew, while driving to your missions you have dialogue and cinematics you can skip if you want and then the missions like in RO2 and your members can die and you need to replace so forth and so on...

Playing a fully crewed tank was great fun. I wish HLL implemented the mechanics from R02, such as fully modeled interiors, and the ability to pop out of the hatch.

I remember the devs saying it took a really long time to model and flesh out the tanks. Probably too much for a small mod team.

Honestly never understood why so many servers disable the AI hull MG. Nobody is ever willing to be dedicated hull MG, and forcing the gunner to switch back and forth is silly. Still better than disabling the tank altogether... Bridges Of Druzhina Is My Favourite Map

Great video as always morgan, i recently got a gaming laptop capable of playing ro2 at high fps now properly! No more 20 fps struggling but i want to ask if ro2's fps is better uncapped, because it doesnt go beyond 60, would uncapping give some advantage?

Super happy for you, theres nothing like an upgrade. People say that your FPS affects weapon sway. I haven't really fully looked into this. I play uncapped, but most of my weapons are lvl 50 so that's why the sway might not bother me as much.

Nice video. I am an old fart that fondly remembers the first year of RO2. Total insanity!!! I miss be the sharp shooter contests with me on top of A and shooting between 120-180 meters to the guys in the windows of E. Won more duels than lost, and became a great be shot in the process!!! I am glad the game has enjoyed a bit if a comeback. The original RO didn't last half as long as it's successor.

Is solo tanking still possible in this game? That is locking down the tank so you can keep it for yourself and not share it with others that got the tank crew role.

Yeah Solo tanking is possible and pretty necessary unless you want some guy who sees TANK CREW 0/2 and hops in and starts driving the tank everywhere, except where you want to go. 😂 Having a hull gunners not bad though.

@@MrJP1300 Thanks for the reply. Are there still many players in the game or is it dead? And is it easy to get the tank crew role on a full server or is it highly sought after? I'm considering getting the game (again) on my new Steam account, but I only really enjoyed playing as a tanker and don't want to waste my money unless that's possible.

Games not dead, but you’ll have a hard time finding a sever that’s full during the week if you can’t play in EU because of ping (mines 100-150 and still playable) weekends the North American server gets busy enough. The tank role can be sought after, depends on who’s playing some people jump right on it while other times it sits open. It’s still possible to play tank but I’d say only about half the maps have one available. If the games only 5-10 it’s still worth it I say. I also have 4000 hours on RO so I might be a little biased 😂
