With this setup I had a 5mm spacers in the front to clear the Brembo’s-now with the new setup/TE37’s I have 5mm spacers front and rear due to the slightly lower offset and the fitment is perfect

It was the previous owner who did that but to my understanding it was a failure of the actual catalytic converter material, so it was easier to just punch the rest of the material out rather than buying pcds but I would assume that would give the exact same sound

225/40/18 squared-they’re Falken RT660’s so they’ve got a pretty thick sidewall, I had Nankangs previously and they were a lot smaller, which is better if you wanted to really slam the car but I prefer the track stance look!🙏

The Benz definitely is a nice car, but it’s not “sporty” like the Type-S, and has nowhere near the aftermarket support. Even my C63 doesn’t have the aftermarket support like the TL’s do. Personally, I would do the trade, and put that $5K toward a set of baller wheels or a Gerzy Bear supercharger kit😅

It’s a trick with the paddles actually(as far as I know only auto Type-S)-when you’re on the gas around 3-5K RPM, just before you let off you quickly click the upshift then downshift paddle in succession, I believe what’s happening is that the ECU then sends additional fuel due to the expected higher load of the next gear you’ve requested, but the shift request has been cancelled because you clicked the downshift paddle right after so there is just unburnt fuel being dumped, essentially running super rich for a few seconds. Probably horrendous for your injectors/plugs but it makes cool noises😂

On a full tank of gas, how much mileage you getting? I'm getting 220 to 250miles a tank if I let it empty to show me the red light. Got a 08 TLS too, rv6 precats, rv6 jpipe, tsudo dual single out. I baby drive it, haven't redline it to see how the exhaust sound out LOUD but 0-40 sounds great.

The precats are about $500USD(could likely just use test pipes which would be cheaper), the XLR8 catback is not available anymore from what I understand but another option is ATLP, which is about $1100USD, and the secondary cat+muffler delete would vary as this would be at the discretion of the shop you take it to to have the fabrication done, but I’d say anywhere from $2-400, and then of course factor in whether you are installing yourself or having a shop install for you-all together I’d budget at least $2K for a quality full exhaust system, depending on what you’re looking for

Tsudo catback exhaust are great too, I got the tsudo dual single out for my 08 TLS auto n it sounds amazing no rasp just some drone. Rv6 precats, rv6 jpipe, no 3rd cat.
