The color of the unit cards reflect the uniform that the specific unit wore at First Manassas, so in many cases, Confederates wore blue and Union wore grey, this battle is a big reason why both sides standardized their uniforms and flags due to the mass amounts of confusion that went on during the battle.

Tyler also needs to stop and reinforce the bridge over the Cub Run to move Hain's 30-pound parrot gun, also called the "Baby Waker," comfortably across. Delaying his movement an hour. On July 21st, Evan's breakfast was disturbed by the cannonaded at Van Pelt house, and Beaurguard's supper was interpreted on the evening of July 18 at the Mclean house. It was also believed that the Stone bridge had been mined, making Tyler more cautious about attacking over it

Just saying but I found a picture of colonel Bartow if you are looking for one but another thing that interests me about this battle is that after bee dies his successor States Rights Gist is killed 3 years later in 1864 at the Second Battle of Franklin aka The Pickett’s Charge of the west and his name is based on the southern rights doctrine of nullification politics of his father Nathaniel Gist who was a disciple of John Caldwell Calhoun and Nathaniel Gist chose his sons name to reflect his own political sentiments

@@WarhawkYT I realize that I use to date someone that did civil war re-enactments. Just makes it a bit confusing with blue on both sides and gray on both sides and red ones too. I believe that shortly after this for the most part they had at least standard colored jackets. Though both sides wore sky blue pants in some units the entire war. There are are few exceptions to this. Cinfederate units wearing Butternut. Not sure about Zouaves. the 14th LA Sharpshooter wore sky blue pants the entire war. Love your videos keep it up.

Last time I went to the Manassas Battlefield Visitors Center about a week ago, there was a guy there who saw the sign that said "Battle of Manassas - the Civil War's only battle" referring to the war fervor and such, and he asked the people at the desk, "Your sign is wrong. It says Manassas is the only battle of the Civil War. There was way more than just one." *Facepalm*

And just saying but with Schencks brigade there was another battery of artillery with the second New York militia and that battery is 3rd New York independent light artillery and just saying but I am also proud of the 69th New York leading Sherman’s attack and Ireland am proud of them because the regiment was made up of Irish immigrants and I am part Irish because my last name Dolan means dark haired Irish man but also I am proud because In my opinion the 69th New York set in motion the beginning of the Irish brigade and I am also very proud of the 69th New York because they still serve the us army to this day and the moto of the 69th New York is gentle when stroked fierce when provoked
