I feel like the quality of Mango has been getting cheaper and cheaper. It was my go to for years, I preferred it leaps and bounds over similar brands like Zara or Top Shop, but I stepped into one of their stores in Paris about a week ago (normally I shop online) and was honestly shocked by how crappy everything felt. They had a few of their "nicer" pieces stationed in the front of the store- a heavier blazer and some nice turtlenecks, but one good look around and everything else was total trash. Felt on par with something you'd get from Forever 21. They used to use real materials and I feel like they only do that now with a few select pieces and everything else is made from synthetics. ALSO- I've had two (!!!) pairs of their denim split right in the back pocket bum seam in recent months. I completely lack a booty so this was surprising. Specifically is was their high waist soho jeans. Anyway, definitely didn't mean to turn this into a rant, but I think that since we now live in a time where things should be purchased consciously and with sustainability in mind, brands like Mango REALLY need to step up in order to remain relevant or worth it in any way. ***Also editing this now because I don't want to sound too snarky- but you look lovely as usual and you're styling is totally on point.

What I love about Emma’s reviews is that after watching her videos you don’t find yourself feeling the need to shop and stock up on items that are advertised by your favorite blogger. Instead, she leaves you wanting to be more conscious of your shopping and spending habits and really think about the brand, the quality, and whether you really need to purchase an item you’ve liked or not. Hi Emma, great choices as usual. I used to buy a lot at Mango, but I don't know what happened but the last few years I found myself not reaching as much as I used to. I still go to the shops, but nothing catches my eyes. I saw a checked blazer (always a blazer 😜) and it looked very nice. Maybe I'll get that one. But thank you for sharing. 😒 Mango is for me a “summer brand” because of their linen items. Winter collection is not my cup of coffee, and I wonder if it is really your cup of tea. Polyester and acrylics and the prices are higher and higher this season. No no, not for me. 🤔

I see this a lot lately: high prices in these stores and you think "ooh, it must be all cotton, linen, wool, etc.", but then you read "polyester, acrylic, etc." Or its 50% acrylic, 40% polyester and 10% wool", so I guess that 10% justifies the ridiculous price. 🤣 Why would I want to pay all that money for cheap, synthetic fabrics? I can get that cheaper elsewhere. I see this so much anymore.

I do love Mango for their linen collection, but I like their fall and winter collection as well. Their cashmere isn't overpriced at all. I personally like some of their outer wear because it's made well and isn't 100 percent wool. Fabric mixtures help to keep the fabrics soft and lighter. It's too hot where I live to wear heavy wools. However, I'm not at all into these polyester dresses that are out whether they are high Street, premium or designer. I think they are all way over priced 🥴

I am irritated with Mango. Since they introduced their Plus Size line (Violetta) most the items in their main Women's collection now only go up to size medium or a US size 8, sometimes 10. I think that's around UK size 12 and 14. On Emma's links for the UK website, the clothes seem to go up to a large or even an XL but for the North American market (I live in Canada and there is a Canadian version of the website) they usually end at a medium; and no, they are not sold out of the larger sizes, they just don't offer them. I am a US size 12 (UK 16) and it frustrates me that they stopped carrying the larger sizes. I would happily shop in the Plus Size section but it is actually a completely different line of clothing; they generally don't carry the corresponding items in Violetta.

The black loafers called "moccasin" because it's French for loafer. Love all the outfits especially the military coat and the brown tweed blazer! I've a similar tweed coat in black but with slimer fit and I'm definitely going to wear it in winter. Tho we're still wearing summer clothes in Hong Kong I'm still very excited to see your videos whenever it comes up.💕

As a French woman, I'd say we use the loan word "mocassin" for loafers that are very soft and pliable leather, needn't be done up (no laces etc.), and have no hardware of any kind on them. Originally, the word stems from the indiginous languages of the Americas, designating a shoe made of deerskin or soft leather and without a stiff sole. Apologies for being an etymology nerd :-).

Hello Emma, from the U.S.! I actually ordered the second coat about a week ago and it just shipped out. I debated between the coffee color and cream and decided to go with the cream in a size Large, as I am a bit curvier and want to wear thicker knits with it this season. I'd love to buy coats and blazers, they truly make a difference to an outfit but I never feel the cold. It can be so annoying. I literally don't own a coat, just a couple of lightweight jackets but even then I'm baking hot when I go out. A jumper is usually enough.

Great video, not great for my ever growing outerwear lust list 😂 Especially like the wrap coat, in camel I think that would be lovely. Not usually a fan of square toed boots but those ones aren’t too severe, and the shirt is fab. I’m on the wait list for the Mango suede ankle boots you showed a while back on Instagram (worn here with the jeans) I’m a 7 but everytime they email to say they are back in stock it’s the middle of the night so when I see my emails first thing in the morning they’re all gone again 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣.

I have been saying I am trying to make better choices when making purchases but have always said there are a few high street stores I still shop in (although I do now avoid a lot of them), because I believe they are trying to make positive changes and have pieces that can last and aren't for one season. I now try to pick pieces that will last and are from better fabrics. 👍🏼

@@EmmaHill I think it is something we all do struggle with! It is also sometimes difficult to distinguish real efforts from green washing witch many brads are doing with their 'conscious' lines. For me it is helpful to think where do I want my money to go. Is it the 1% that owns 99% of the market. Then again, my job is not related to fashion, although I do enjoy that fashion content

adele coles I’m afraid I don’t really wear fitted coats, it’s just not my taste. The closest to a fitted coat I would get would be the black military tailored coat and the neutral one as neither of those were oversized 👍🏼

I’m 4 ft. 10 and still wear some oversized items. I just style them with tight layers underneath (although I’m in Australia so my layers don’t have to be that thick!)
