They really should add a competitive multiplayer mode where it gets rid of all the one sided focuses and the more 'gamey' things you can do. Playing multiplayer with the intent on PVP is pretty much impossible to do in a fun way without having a list of rules longer than a Soviet peace treaty. _Of course we know it won't happen cause they can't charge €15 for such an addition and it would require an understanding of their own game..._

I’m torn between appreciating Dankus’ showing the devs where some balance could be implemented and being annoyed that he killed the 5 year anniversary game in 1940 by doing so. I feel like Dankus had a chance to create a foundation for an epic lategame after killing France. Could’ve set up greatness in that peace deal. But he chose violence. All in all: Fun stream.

@@AimlessSavant I'd wager it is somewhat balanced, the mechanics Dankus used were gamey but very much there for a reason. France falling early is intended as to let Germany not have to contend with Fortress France, having tons of subjects is gamey but giving each the basic tree lets them be actually playable, the only issue that really needs a rework is surrounding a capital to cut off supply but even then you don't want troops with 0 Victory points and no capital to still have 100% supplies just because it's their home territory (to solve this issue maybe make victory points a bigger strategic target spreading the power around instead of focusing so much in the capital) The issue was mainly that Dankus went in with a very gamey setup in mind, meanwhile the Devs went in with the idea that this would be a 2-day show campaign not meant to reflect meta.

when you release a cuntry as your puppet you get a percentage of their factories (dk if its 50 or 75%) and that released cuntry get the default focus tree that gets them 4 civs and 3 mills so he gets the mayority of those for free instead of getting the useless land that it was originaly

I am not experienced in HOI4 multiplayer, but dont like all the lobbies have rules to prevent exactly that? No paratrooper cheese, no puppeting half of Africa etc. Paradox should have maybe looked into some of the more popular rule-sets in HOI4 multiplayer before hosting an event xD
