THIS IS SO GOOD YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY EXPLORE DAZAIS PAST RELATIONS WITH THE PAST PM BOSS. Honestly Ive seen that so rarely and as someone who has read the light novels. Especially in 15 there are so many hints that dazai has a familiar relationship with him, when you think about it. Right? People always say that he got his “training” methods and how he must have been “trained”. But the question WHO physically abused him is not covered? We definitely know it WASN'T mori, he NEVER physically abuses his victims and after yosano with her ending up in the asylums.. It would be unrealistic to say the least. Dazai talks about the old pm boss, like kinda similarly like he does with mori. Negatively, mocking them kinda but still with this ground respect, never stepping over the line. He also (what people often forget) planned the murder with mori. (Which was originally poison and not slitting his throat) But why was Dazai THE witness mori wanted? A random child is someone but there’s definitely better witnesses. But if dazai was the son/grandson/student/prodigy and was maybe even the heir, and since he basically grew up in the port. People would know him (heard or even knew him personally), and the a family member supporting your story, is the jackpot. Obviously mori would want dazai as the witness, this is not a good witness this is THE witness. Even if this wasnt implied, what was implied even in the anime is that dazai was thoroughly traumatised before. And then they complain about people doing too much when they try to fill in the blanks. Dazai is very very over einstein intelligence, if something didnt happen in his early childhood(in the development years 0-4) then I can guarantee he would have figured what was done to him was not an efficient learning method, he would probably also have seen through mori. This isn’t something you can do with someone like him when he a teenager, this has to have happened in the time where children learn morals and empathy. Which means dazai was neglected, heavily. This frequently leads to compound disorder and that commonly develops to an Anti Social Disorder which is what dazai has. Ok this is just rant, This is beauty I nearly shed a tear of joy when I saw this, for the situation dazais in he acts very realistically considering the circumstances. Its amazing really, toddlers who have been neglected having selective mutism, not doing anything against like here being left alone in the rain and just accepting it despite being cold and feeling ill, its fits and is so realistic. THIS IS ART :D
