I just bought a second hand unit (a late 1988 model), did the noise mod (changing some ICs and filter caps for higher quality ones) and I‘m absolutely loving it ❤.

Can you do a lesson about Alex Skolnick’s lead tone from “practice what you preach”? He uses an MP-1 into a Marshall of some sort for his tone I think

I'll have to check this one out, recently got the FM9 and been working with your older MP1 attempt with the Big Hair amp... Found such a fun killer sound using that Can't wait to get home and try this one out, especially since the Atomica is what I mainly used on my old AX8

@@LeonTodd A/B-ing it with the preset I built around your OG Big Hair MP-1 it's almost night and day... I swear my ears must have changed between now and yesterday because that super rad sounding sound I had compared to your new one sounds super muffled and boxy Really dig the new sounds, and love the idea of putting the PEQ on the Per-Preset Perform like amp knobs. Super easy to tweak the sounds out, lower the bass and raise the high end a bit. Keeping the original on there until I can hear it in band context but so far this one beats it out! Good job as always!

i followed your settings and even imported the preset, but mine does not sound anywhere near what yours does on the video. I'm running an FM9 with V4 firmware through a pair of Rokit 8's.

Very cool Preset Leon thanks for doing this! I just tried to get it on Axe -Exchange for my Axe III and no luck, I could not audition or save it, just didn't load. ? I'll try again later. any other preset next to it worked I tested.

I'm having a very hard time getting this preset to load. Once I drag into my preset manager, then save it to a slot, it shows up as "empty" a moment later. Any tips to help? Thanks!

This preset is cranked. I have it in my FM3 and WOW!! The sound is huuuuge! Trying to figure out how your presets are so "in your face" lol My presets I've set up, are weak...real weak compared to this lol Any tips?

I'm on the latest beta for the III so you won't be able to directly import it. You can copy the settings over easy enough and it will sound close though
