Adagio hits the sweet spot for displacement motor yachts, according to its designer, American Mark Fitzgerald of Chuck Paine Yacht Design. At 22m (72ft) and displacing 66 tonnes, it can make crossings of 2000nm in safety and comfort, yet it’s small enough for a competent crew of two to manage and maintain.
Built by Vitali/Bjorklund Yacht Construction Management of Auckland, Adagio has big-ship systems throughout: electronic stabilisation underway and at anchor, sophisticated navigation and communication equipment, very low noise and vibration levels when underway, and a five-star finish inside and out.
