The arrangement is new, I have played it just a few times by now , but I must share the profound joy given to me by this late Mozart’s little wonder. A little big music indeed. Performed on anonymous 1830’s guitar.

That guitar has some character! Of course your beautiful playing helps it come out.

I really love the instrument. It might not be the best compared to other romantic guitars, but I think that all of them are sisters of the same value since they all managed to survive.

So beautiful. Do you have any tips for a beginner aspiring to be as good as you? How long have you been playing?

I began as a child, I was about five, but I didn’t like it too much. I was given a few lessons of classical guitar, but teachers changed quickly. After a few years I completely left guitar and returned at the age of seventeen. Since then I’ve been self taught. I was fascinated with rockabilly and old blues at first and then I began playing folk-music and writing my own songs. And then I turned more to ragtime and especially the music by a Czech modern composer Jaroslav Ježek. At that point I realised that my knowledge and my skills were not enough to manage music of such a level and thus began to work hard. I’m not sure whether I can advise anyone since my own path was not straight but turned to the right and left, made many vain attempts and came to the dead end often. But yes: you must pursue your own love for music. I’ve never come through all those Carulli/Carcassi/Sor studies, scales and cadenzas, but I’ve tried many other musical genres, so perhaps it served me better in a way.
