"She's not human!!" Wow!! In the 1970's there were variety shows on 6 nights a week and you could see such powerhouse singers as Julie Andrews, Kate Smith, Vicki Lawrence and Tina Turner. Floor has used this downtime from Nightwish quite excellently, establishing herself as this versatile powerhouse singer. If Floor wasn't the lead singer of one of the top metal bands in the world she would have her own show in Vegas.

I have been through alot of insane vocalists,also on the female side. I grew up with Jennifer Rush being the ultimate one,but there was also Alannah Myles and Joan Jett as the rock chicks of the 80s. Jennifer was probably more "pop" in many of her songs,but mom bought me a giant poster of her in tight leather pants,and a leather jacket with her black hair sprayed up in some punk-rock(ish) style,kind of like Michael Jacksons female guitarist Jennifer Batten. As a kid not looking at her in a sexualized way at all,i was absolutely in love with how beautiful she looked. And there has been alot of really good vocalists since then! But somehow....Floor Jansen is the only one that seduces me in a heartbeat,just by looking at the camera or to the side like here in a certain way (her eyes have allways been hypnotic to me). The way she moves and dances....her crowd interaction,how she lives herself completely into every song. And last but absolutely not the least,her ridiculously out of this world vocal range,vocal power and versatile voice. Yes even the sound of her voice is like no other i have ever heard or experienced! She breaks me effortlessly,wich no vocalist have done before. Or she comforts me and makes my day feel much better..... I feel lucky to be living and experiencing her like this,because she has to be the absolute best vocalist ever,regardless of gender too! 😍💞 *Elbow cough* Speaking of....i like that blue hair! Reminds me in an instant of Alissa White Gluz (Alissa and Elize Ryd was the 2 vocalists that saved Nightwish`s night in Denver 2012,where Floor later came in as a step-in/temporary solution,so thoose 3 females became much closer after sharing some band history there) and Semblants vocalist Mizuho Lin. Both rock that blue hair look. Also it got me thinking,i have been visiting this channel from time to another and i allways like the "laidback vibe". There is nothing fake,not any clickbait etc wich some are hardcore at. And im a The Nightwish Army representative,so......consider me a new sub! I dont sub super fast to anyone on YT,but i feel like thats the least i can do beside humping the like button.

This is not really a cover from Fabian and certainly not a "Fabian song"! The peace, music and lyrics, was originally written by Remo Giazotto (1919-1998). This dude claimed the music was based on unfinished work from the renowned composer Albinoni of which he found the partitures after a WW2 bombing in 1945... later it became clear that he (Remo) wrote the intire thing himself and Albinoni had nothing to do with it...😊 The piece has since then been interpreted and performed by many singers (even The Doors recorded an adaptation) and often used as moviescore.

To me she is painful to listen to. Forcing her voice to the point of more yelling than singing particularly at the end. No warmth, no fluidity and hard try (nothing seems easy), questionable diction and no goosebumps .

If I didn't know Floor well, I would agree with you, but I've seen a lot of performances of her to know that it's her way of singing. You really think that this song is easy for Lara to sing?! The difference between them both is that Floor shows all that strength and peoples who aren't familiar with her style always will think and say that she is pushing too much. She has been singing "hard" during the last 20 years non stop and I assure, no one can keep a good voice and tone quality with a bad technique and forcing their voice... About the end of the song, when you say she is "yelling", I suggest you to watch some Jessie J's performances, cuz she uses that kind of "screaming" a lot, but in case you don't know it's a texture that many singers put in their performance when they want to add more intensity to the song. You didn't even mentioned Lara, but it doesn't need, cuz you are making a comparison between Lara's sweet voice and Floor's aggressive voice... I like both: when I want something more soft, relax and cry , I listen to Lara Fabian, but when I want something more intense and goosebumps, I listen to Floor.

And you think that Lara's DVD doesn't have any "heavy" post production? Oh, man!! Even in live shows there are plenty of production: compression, equalization, pitch correction and reverb, I know that because I'm also a singer, but all that stuff is necessary for a cleaning sound, on the other hand, there's a lot of vídeos on youtube where you can watch Floor singing without microphone or with a basic production, so everybody who likes Floor, they know what Floor is capable of, so the only failed thing here is your trying to convince people that Floor needs that kind of resources to sound great, which is not the case.
