Adalind never intended on falling for Nick. She just knew he protected those he cares about and she connected his hand to her stomach to make sure he cared about his child, she wasn't going to lose another. At every turn Adalind was surprised by Nick. Promised her she wouldn't have another child taken from her, promised he wouldn't hurt her, showed up at the hospital just to check on her, included her in his plans for moving, made sure she felt comfortable and at home. These things compelled Adalind to do something she never did, protect someone other than herself. His safety became a concern to her, his happiness mattered to her. She started wanting him to be okay and it was clear she didn't understand why she cared, but she did. Once she accepted that she cared, that was it, she was never going back to get old self. That scene where Adalind nearly cried that she would never hurt Nick, she knew by that point she would have to leave soon because of the threats from Black Claw but she desperately needed Nick to know she would never hurt him, she stayed as long as she did because she needed to insure he knew how much she had grown to care for him so that he trusted her. It worked, he never doubted her intentions

When do you think Nick started loving Adalind? And when did he realize it?

@kritandvi as corny as it sounds I think it was just before they moved out of his old house and Nick was watching Adalind pack Kelly's things. I think he started realizing there may have been some tension between them for quite some time. They both deeply remember the moment laid eyes on each other and both seemed to indicate they had an odd flirty way of talking to each other even when they would fight. I think Nick didn't realize he actually loved and trusted Adalind until she left and he read her note. I think he was shocked to realize he trusted her and knew she didn't have a choice. He never fully trusted Juliette because she always hid things throughout their relationship. The one thing Adalind did right, the moment her and Nick started being something, she never lied, told him everything, and made sure he knew she cared about him as both a Grimm and a man. I think he fell for her when he knew him being a Grimm wouldn't break them like it did Juliette
