You are certainly brilliant. Very nice and useful sessions. Loved them. And I am building my App. I do have a question. I am building and commodities app that sells food items. 1. I need a merchant login (a bunch merchants using my App), who basically add/edit the food items. 2. a customer login who buys the food items of various merchants in the App. 3. An Administrator who can do everything in the App (precisely solving the needed things for the merchant and the customer). Any procedure that you can suggest using Adalo? You will be helping my efforts that I am unable to think as of now featuring in my App. Thanks in advance. Bless you.

In this tutorial you set up a database that is based on the user entering things, in this case one user is able to create multiple journal entries. And so the relationship is 1 to many. Does it work the same way if the collection of items are being used as a reference? For example. Let's say I built an app that allowed a user to look up the state capital for an entered state. So each user would fill out a form that contained the state that they wanted to look up the capital of. And so the app would then go and retrieve the capital that is associated with that particular state and return it. So in that case, the relationship between state and capital is 1 to many to 1 since each user could enter up to 50 different states but then each state only has 1 capital. But each new user who came along could also enter the same state and the app would have to somehow access that same list of states with their associated capitals. What I am getting at is, is the relationship set up in that case to be many to many to 1? since there can be multiple different users coming along that can each enter the same state.
@adalocado2 жыл бұрын
Hey Ronald! Great question. In this case, you actually don't need any type of relationship between users and states. You can make it so that a user can search through a collection of states, and find related data to those states. This tutorial should help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpWZfqmEmtKsp80

Hey Rick! I believe there are paid components to enforce password strength like this one: www.nocodemonkey.io/components/reveal-password We're also excited about improvements to layout design. There are a few tricks you can use like transparent shapes and grouping in the meantime.

Such a great video - Learned a lot and you walk us through it SO nicely. I'm wondering how you can EDIT a journal entry? Thanks!
@adalocado2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the feedback! You can edit data in Adalo by including a form component or input components, then linking them to the collection. For this specific use case, you would create a new screen linked from either the entries list or details screen, and place your edit fields (form or input fields) on that new screen. It's tough to describe in writing, so feel free to join our Discord community to share your questions and we'll see how we can help: www.adalocado.com/community
