Adam Beyer has truly evolved as a DJ/Producer. I remember seeing him years ago at Movement (Detroit Electronic Music Festival, being a native Detroiter, myself) and I was *really* UNDER-whelmed. he was just a standard, hard-driving, high BPM Euro-DJ. so many like him and he didn't stand out in any way, whatsoever. But now? He's fucking SLAMMING the tracks he's playing. A lot of variety, a lot of technical wizardry, and above all, he's reading rooms and playing sets that truly rise above being just good, but something SPIRITUAL, something really amazing. He even closed out the festival in Detroit last year and he fucking KILLED it. Arguably the best set of the whole festival. I wish you guys could have seen the crowd! So my hat is really, really off for Adam Beyer and Drumcode. He/them have come such a long way and I truly salute their progress and wish them a wonderful (and well deserved) & prosperous future.
