Gunther Vs. Sheamus is top tier match. Seth Rollins had some stand out matches this year my favorite were him Vs Cody really the whole trio of matches was good but HIAC is the obvious favorite. Roman kept putting on good matches too with his last man standing match against Brock, and that was crazy, him Vs. Logan was better than most thought, and can’t forget the good storyline match between him and Seth at the beginning of the year with Seth coming out with shield gear and entrance. AEW pulled out great matches CM Punk Vs MJF 2 would have been great if we got it.

Gunther vs Sheamus was definitely my most hyped match for Clash at the Castle. It's not that I wasn't hyped for the show I really was hyped for Clash at the Castle but Sheamus vs Gunther was my most hyped match that night and it didn't disappoint. I would go as far to say it's match of the night

@@mr.montana1384 of course because it’s my opinion, but my reason why because I was actually falling out of love with wrestling a couple years ago (when Wwe was the only MAJOR wrestling company and was doing stupid things most of the time and was just bad until Triple H NXT was better than the Main Shows ) and with AEW being around and Triple H and Stephanie being in charge the competition between them made each other better. 🤷🏾‍♂️ that’s why I can’t be a Wwe diehard or an Aew diehard because they brought back my childhood love of wrestling because wrestling is way more enjoyable now instead of those couple years when Wwe was the only thing around. Once again MY OPINION ❗️❗️🤣🤣🤣 people forget to realize that .

Finn Balor and Judgement Day have had lowkey underrated year from going from boring to having a classic with Edge and the Mysterios that isn't being talked about. That I quit match was to me a considering for top 10 matches of the year.

As another comment said, very underrated despite being very prominent on RAW, the Judgment Day had a very good latter half of the year, major comeback for them after dropping Edge. They started out terrible after losing him and immediately lost all momentum, losing every major match when it mattered to make them not look like bums without Edge. After that "I Quit" Match, JD truly bounced back and have been so much better even then when they had Edge originally. They've really found their vibe, funny assholes who think they're better than everyone, not a supernatural-leaning group who feel like they've been overlooked but are now enlightened. Dominik has really found his shtick as well, chicken shit heel who hides behind Rhea mainly but also Priest and Balor is so much better than just being the much much much much lesser Mysterio who can't wrestle anywhere nearly as well as his father or even half the roster. Still needs to change his moveset though, the luchador style just doesn't suit him at all, should have something closer to Corbin's style, the boy is just not a high flyer.

The shame for me with Punk's situation is he had no one to blame but himself. He let the euphoria he first experienced coming back to morph into complacency, then bitterness. He allowed himself to become the crotchety old man. And he allowed that thing with Page to just fester like an open wound. And who knows if he'll come back? Who even wants him now, now that he's become the very thing he hates?

Gunther/Walter is so good, an amazing performer that knows what he does. People start to forget how long he is in this business and how much experience he has. He brought the best out of Sheamus and the Brawling Bruts are over now. Beside of the Bloodline/Samy Zayn storyline was Gunther the best thing SmackDown and WWE had to offer this year. Hopefully they trust and work with him with well made bookings. Which means Brock Lesnar or Drew McIntyre, but please not Braun Strowman for a longer term.
