I saw Adam perform a comedy miracle years ago. Early 2000's camden jongleurs. Really messy drunk crowd, super hard work for thr comedians that night. Adam was on last. And the place was just rowdy and chaos. Adam kept getting heckled. And he just savaged people. One shot kills. It got to the point where he was standing on stage like a fighter, and he was inviting people to heckle him, egging them on. And he nailed everyone with brutal one shots. It was quite amazing to see. He got standing applause when he was done, he just dominated the room with comedy. After seeing that I was surprised he never got a lot bigger. I don't think I've ever seen another comedian think so fast on their feet and just not slip up once. It was a masterclass, I'll never forget it.

I first saw Adam 26 years ago, and I still don’t understand how he has never received more mainstream breakthrough/tv work/recognition.

Anyone who has to write and rehearse comedy can't be any good but if you can do it all off the cuff now your talking that's when you know you're funny

@garyrigby21 ah right, I'm with you now. I thought you meant all comedians who write are no good. To be fair I think Billy Connolly was improvised I believe, to a degree. So is Ross Noble
