I know I’m way late to this but I love how you say this is real hip hop. I’m 40, mtv and vh1 were banned in my home and living in a rural area, country was popular and I identified with it far more than other genres over the years UNTIL I discovered independent artists and realize genre does not matter to me. I would rather listen to Upchurch and Calhoun rap than listen to a country singer who doesn’t write and live the lyrics they sing about. Huge Tom MacDonald fan too. The last year discovering new music and learning more about the music industry has opened my eyes as cliche as it sounds. I learn so much from pages like yours. My knowledge of rap was Eminem in 8 mile basically until a year ago.

Man, as a kid following upchurch since his first single came out, heres some reccomendations for some bangers. As far as his originals goes, Quit lyin is my favorite by far, then I'd go for songs like : Who, Johnny Cash, Bad Motha Fucka, Dirty Boys, Come and get it, Cheatam county, just to name a few bangers. Then when it comes to his remixes and freestyles man you just cant go wrong. His 0 to 100 remix is insane and so is his Alpha Omega and Bodak Yellow remixes, and Bored ill mind 5. So any remixes you really cant go wrong with man and you'll be jumping out of your seat lol
