Poor Ben! The voice of Snoke, the discovery of being Darth Vader's grandson and his uncle/teacher(legend) trying to murder him. Ben had felt he had no choice but to embrace the darkness everyone feared he was. 1. Raised by a robot with no feelings that tried to kill him. 2. Parents he was not close enough to, to ask for advice or help when Skywalker turned against him. ...Ben deserved a second chance!!!

The story of kylo is well understood from the TLJ book, in practice he was strong in the force but did not control it, so han and leia decided to send him to luke, he felt abandoned and from there ...

Wow ... so much to take in and to think about ... a good yet similar contrast with Legends Solo family ... anyway ... Han and Leia ... parents or Rebellion leaders? ... I can understand how they wouldn’t give the attention Ben needed... so in defense of Han and Leia ... just think about this: After the war is over... what next? What then? Rebuilding and creating a new order of government... Han and Leia were desperately needed by the New Republic to rebuild what the dictatorship of the Empire destroyed, the thousands of worlds needed The heroes of the Rebellion to guide and rebuild everything from scratch, Just like Luke did with rebuilding the Jedi Order. Everyone looked up to them and expected them to have the answers to everything... clearly mom and dad were super busy to be around Ben Solo ... not to mention Han didn’t know how to handle a force sensitive toddler ... Han wasn’t ready to be a father, especially a force sensitive baby which defied everything he has said about the hoky religions against his good blaster (in contrast with Legends, Han had 3 children which he had more experience and was more flexible) But Han and Leia were wanted by both sides ... leadership and family ... however, which one did they had more experience at??? Like Han said in Episode 7, “I went back at the ONLY thing I was ever good at...” Leia: “we BOTH did” Those lines start to make sense now ... they went to the things they were good at rather than paying attention to a new responsibility that needed two parents whom are in love but different at the same time ... And Luke Skywalker as well... busy rebuilding the Jedi order and trying to learn and preserve the past Jedi relics and knowledge... And teaching students as well as Ben ... Ben Solo was in a way another student rather than a nephew ... And the darkness or resentment Ben had been harvesting... that darkness plus the heritage of the most evil man in the galaxy ... his grandfather Darth Vader ...clearly would shock any kid ...Example: it would be like to tell a child their grandfather was Hitler ... Shocking news indeed! Poor Ben Solo ... (unlike Legends were Jacen, Jaina and Anakin solo had each other) Ben solo was ALONE a lot ... tragic that no one payed attention to him ... the voice of Snoke provided everything he needed so thus his turn is more understanding!

This was a tough one to produce... It's tough because I LOVE and ADORE both Han & Leia, but Ben was way too fragile to be on his own. If they had waited to start a family - perhaps things could have been so much better for all. Sure, Han & Leia loved their son, and I believe they did the best they knew how...seeing they didn't have much of childhood either. Tragic. For all that Han, Leia, & Luke fought for, right under their noses - the last of the bloodline was being victimized and used against them... I

@@StarWarsForceTime I can tell it was hard to narrate for you, me too I adore Han, Luke and Leia, Chewbacca, Lando, the droids ... everyone in the OT cast who started this amazing universe and took me to a galaxy far far away... I love them and I cried when I saw them onscreen! Yeah, perhaps you are right ... if they waited to start a family after helping the republic, maybe things would have changed and Ben might have not been seduced to the dark side as easily ... and you are right, deep down Han and Leia love Ben and they tried their best ... but they are not perfect... no parent is perfect...but they are the "perfect" or right parents for Ben solo... Oh indeed, Palpatine thought of this really carefully ... he would hurt the Skywalker legacy, he would hurt Luke, Han and Leia by taking over its youngest and only member ... by either making Ben Solo the New Emperor or transfer his soul to Ben Solo if Ben struck him down in anger... damaging the Skywalker lineage once and for all ... And if they weren't going to do that, then wait at least five or so more years later. I love Han and Leia as much as a lot of Star Wars fans, but they were bad parents to Ben.

Leia was not a good mother, nor was she a good leader of the nation. The 1st order came out due to republic disarm through the galatic accordance. Why did the new republic self disarm, you force the others to disarm or die.
