The lovely team at Chessington World of Adventures invited me to enjoy a two day, one night stay at the resort. They gifted Gary and I tickets for both days and a standard Wanyama Reserve (savannah) view room in the on-site Safari Hotel. Thank you to everyone at Chessington that helped in making this visit so amazing!
The morning starts with a pretty funny re-telling of our close encounter with a bat 😂. I will say that this wasn't Chessington's fault in anyway, we were unharmed and both of us treat it as a hilarious story to tell. The team that were on-site, handled the matter well by responding quickly and taking the proper safety precautions to ensure we and the other guests were safe. What are the chances of that happening to us! 😂
We start out our day with Chessington's Early Rider Hour, where-by resort guests, can experience some of the most popular attractions before the park opens to the general public.
Today we ride Scorpion Express, Vampire, Gruffalo River Ride, Canopy Capers, Sea Storm and the Carousel.
Two VIP experiences were gifted to us by the Chessington team and are featured in this vlog. These included the African Animal Safari where-by we fed Zebra, Ostrich, Antelope and Ankole Cattle (£40pp value). Shortly after, Chessington surprised us with a Tiger encounter! This experience was incredible and allowed us to come face-to-face with a Tiger, feed her and I even got to train her a little!
Also covered in this vlog are how well the Chessington zoo team look after the animals on-site, the Vampire Burger Kitchen quick service restaurant, the English Breakfast served in the Azteca Hotel and GOOSE!

Omg we had a bat in our living room 3 weeks ago, so scary!was around 8pm in the evening and I look up to see one doing a figure of 8 on the ceiling. You cant hear them fly either and they are so fast. Then it starts diving, I screamed and ran! Eventually I sent my daughter crawling on the floor with a towel over her head to open the back door. It was so scary, the thing kept diving at her. Especially when it heard the keys rattle, eeek!

Gary, I'll have you know I will be 44 in July and I still ride the carousel, cry at Disney parades, and make my kids hurry up so I can get my own picture with characters. I just commented on Gary’s post too. I’ve never commented before, but I wanted you both to know how much I appreciate you. This is been a hard year, and I found that listening to one, the other or both of you while I put on my make up every morning just starts my day off a little better. I just bought Gary’s prints (which are wonderful) and your book because I want to support you both and help you keep doing what you’re doing. You could both honestly talk about making toast and I would probably still enjoy listening to it. 😂 I just think you’re both very lovely people with great hearts. Keep being you. 😘

Tigers are my absolute favorite animal. I had an opportunity to play with some baby tigers a few yrs ago and i loved it. So im super jealous that you got to feed and train a full grown tiger. Loved the videos keep up the great work.

Thank you for doing these vlogs. The last time I went to Chessington I was around 4 years old so that's late 1997/early 1998. I have never really thought about Chessington a lot until your recent vlogs. This has made me definitely want to visit there again in the near future!

This was me in January! I was terrified to find a bat in my bedroom one night. I have no idea how it got in and got it out through my sliding glass door after a night of hell. I shut it in my room and slept on the living room sofa only to wake up at 6 am to it flying overhead in the living room. Horribly scary, I'm still traumatized. **hug** "I've been reborn!" "She's not exactly Tarzan." Loved it!
